A medical case in Hualien Medical Center: the 16 year old Aboriginal
boy, Chan-Chin Lin, experienced a car accident and doctors had to
amputated half of his body. The nurses came to encourage him.

On November 8, 2013, Super Typhoon Haiyan (
Yolanda) packed wind speeds of more than 300
kilometers per hour and swept through the central
Philippines.
It caused enormous damage to 80% of the
infrastructure and an estimated 6,000 casualties in
Leyte and Samar, which were the provinces worst-
hit. It was the biggest natural calamity in the history
of the Philippines.
