• Length of the program = 1 academic year

20. Main Purpose:
The programme is based upon the already
validated BSc (Hons) in Nursing Studies.
The programme will allow qualified
nurses who have gained their first level
nursing qualification at a level below
degree, the opportunity to study and
obtain a degree in nursing.
Specific Aims
•To enable the qualified nurse to develop
a deeper understanding of the discipline
of nursing and to apply this knowledge to
professional practice.
•To enable the qualified nurse to enhance
her / his understanding of the research
process and the application of evidence
to enhance the profession of nursing.

The aim of this programme is to equip
Omani students with academic skills
and improve their proficiency in English
and Information Technology so that
they may succeed in their post-basic
nursing specialty or midwifery course
