3. The Care and Keeping of our iPads
Students
1. Transport the iPad crate with two hands or on a cart.
2. Always wash your hands before using an iPad. Do not
substitute hand sanitizer!
3. Use two hands when carrying an iPad from place to place.
4. Do not change the wallpaper or lock screen.
5. Power off your iPad when you finish using it.
a. Hold down the power button and slide the arrow to
Power Off.
6. Clean your iPad screen with a cleaning cloth before you put
it away.

Staff
1. Teach and reinforce the expectations –
a. The Care and Keeping of our iPads – Students.
2. Communicate! Communicate! Communicate!
3. Use the shared calendar to reserve iPads.
a. Indicate the time block you will have the devices.
b.Indicate the bins you are reserving (Each bin has 5)
c. If you are back-to-back with another teacher’s
reservation, pick them up from that classroom.
Otherwise, access the devices from the media center.
4. Store iPads in a secure location when not in use. Do not
leave the devices in an unlocked, unsupervised classroom.
5. Checking out of student-use iPad:
a. If you would like to take an iPad home, it must be
checked out from the media center.
b.May only be checked out overnight. Must be returned
by 8AM the next morning – excluding weekends.
5. ACCOUNTABILITY
WE HAVE TO HOLD OURSELVES, OUR STUDENTS AND EACH OTHER
ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE CARE AND KEEPING OF OUR IPADS.
