things that he did. From all his books some might wonder how he became a poet. Most might know who he is, but others might not know his life in
depth. This paper will go through the life of Edgar Allan Poe and how he came to be a poet. Edgar Allan Poe was born January 19, 1809, in Boston
Massachusetts, he is the son of Elizabeth Allan Poe and David Poe(Mabbott,Cestre,Barzun). Poe had two siblings, one brother and one sister. Their
names were William Henry Leonard Poe, and Rosalie Mackenzie Poe. Both of Edgar's parents were actors(Mabbott,Cestre.Barzun). His father died
when Edgar was two and a half years old on December 11th and his mother only died three days later(Meyers). After that Edgar moved in with and

Edgar attended The University of Virginia in 1826 for eleven months. But, he developed a heavy gambling problem and his foster father refused to

In this project, I will be discussing about my poet Edgar Allan Poe. Poe had written numerous of poems and stories but the one I chose was "Annabel
Lee". This poem was written in 1849 which was a long time ago. Even though this poem is centuries old, it is still a well known poem. This whole
project includes a biography, literary movement, and a explication about the poem.
The biography includes where Poe grew up and how his lifestyle were. Through research and sources, I found out that Poe lived a hard life. He was
in a lot of debts with no money. Not only was that, "Annabel Lee" known as a romanticism which was also established during the European times. This

Poe's poem "Annabel Lee" falls under Romanticism. Romanticism was well–known by its origin and influence. By the 1820, it traveled through
Europe and towards the west hemisphere where musical introduced it. After these years, Romanticism was well known and also used in many ways.
As of today, it is still popular ("Romanticism" Paul Brians). Romantic is also a part of nature and its power. Romanticism is beauty and its art that is
