Beach Events features free family entertainment and festivals at the
VirginiaBeachoceanfront,491-7866,www.beachstreetusa.com.
Festevents is a non-profit organization that manages, for the City of
Norfolk, the production of year-round special events and programs
on the downtown Norfolk waterfront. Many of the festivals and
entertainment are free and open to the public. Events are usually
held at Town Point Park, and yearly schedules are available from the
Festevents Office, 441-2345.
Norfolk Electric Transit (the NET) is a free service in air-conditioned
electric buses with 12 stops in downtown.
Tidewater Winds Summer Band Concerts (free). For more information
call 480-0953.
Trolley Tours for Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach sites are
available. Call 222-6100 for fares and locations.
Virginia Beach Annual Neptune Festival at the oceanfront features an
airshow(heldearlierinSeptemberatNASOceana),entertainment,
a parade and fireworks the last week in September. For more
