3. What is the STaR Chart? The STaR Chart stands for School Technology and Readiness It is a to be a teacher tool for planning and self assessment to see how technology is used in the classroom.

5. What the STaR Chart measures The chart measures a school’s use of technology in four main key areas: Teaching and Learning Educator Preparation and Development Administration and Support Services Infrastructure for Technology
6. Four levels of measurement In the four areas, there are four levels of competency for educators in the classroom. Early Technology – for the extremely inexperienced technology user. Developing Technology – for the novice user of technology Advanced Technology – for the experienced user of technology Target Technology – for the advanced user of technology.

8. Where does Frisco High rate? For the past five years – Frisco High School rated in the top 25 percent of schools reporting data. For the past five years, scores have stayed stable, despite the district having a triple-digit growth rate every year from 2005-10.
9. What goals should we have? Technology should be used in such a way that students are constantly engaged in the learning process. To give students 24-7 access to technology and Internet. To give students alternative methods of learning and completing assignments.
