Budget management responsibility for personnel and operations budget of approximately $1M
Selected Achievements:
 Conducted assessment of staff capabilities and the organizational structure of my unit. I increased retention rates for
Residential Life staff by 400%, participation rates of residents in programming by 50%, and student satisfaction with on-
campus living by 30%
 Implemented philosophy, vision, goals and learning outcomes for the department, rewriting all job descriptions and re-
organized training to be in line with these values and outcomes
 Working with our residential life staff, we have increased our overall resident average GPA by 10%, and resident campus
involvement rate by 54%
 Designed, implemented, and passed through curriculum committee a permanent Recreation Administration 2.0 unit class
entitled “Foundations of Leadership for Residential Life and Student Involvement”
 Implemented five programmatic committees within housing on diversity, drug and alcohol, wellness, academic success, and
sustainability issues
 Developed a parent orientation for incoming parents with participation rate increasing by 400%
 Implemented and maintained longitudinal assessment of residents when they move in, after their first semester, and when
they decide to leave housing starting in 2008 and ongoing
 Redesigned closing processes and procedures to provide increased efficiency and reduce damage billing appeals
 Created additional collaboration opportunities with various on-campus entities: School of Education, Student Involvement,
Renaissance Scholars, Student Support Services, and College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)
 Increased SAFARI participation among students by 40% and on-campus residents by 400%
 Served as a member of Director of Student Involvement University-wide search committee
