Make it personal
1. Managing Your Time
Make It Personal
No one can tell you how to use your time; it’s really down to
you as to which systems and tools work best.
Some of you will prefer a wall calendar, for example, while
others may use a diary, a note book, a spreadsheet, a
website or an app.
Whatever you decide, start your planning early so that you
can get into the rhythm of following a schedule.
2. Find the right time and place
We all have preferred times of day for study; some
people are early risers and feel they are more effective
first thing in the morning, whilst others will prefer to
study in the evening. Think about what works for you
and build your schedule accordingly.
As many of you are working nine to five, you will need to
think about finding time for study during your personal time.
What is very important is to strike the correct work/life
balance, so that you maintain quality time to relax.
