Essay Advantages of an Online Education
Advantages of Online Education
Is online education a valuable innovation that improves opportunities for students or is it a poor
substitute for traditional, classroom–based teaching? It has long been recognized that students and
educators need to use a variety of tools in order to keep up with the skills that are needed in the
contemporary world. Online education is becoming popular, but some people raise questions about
its effectiveness in comparison to traditional learning. While teachers will always be involved in the
education process, there is room also to consider new ways in which teachers, students and
technology can work together. Technology is here to stay, and everyone in an industrialized society
needs to learn how to make...show more content...
There is even the potential to access quizzes and tests, complete them, and submit them for analysis.
Feedback, often with grading capabilities and tips for improvement, is built in and can be received in
an extremely fast turnaround. Instructors just simply cannot deliver this high–speed response
because they have to deal with each student's work consecutively and they are subject to the
limitations of needing to eat, sleep and have a private life as well as being professional teachers.
The internet is always available; except in rare cases of technical failure, and is always reliably
fast in its response. From a teaching perspective, online learning also provides economies of time
usage. Instead of delivering information every year to each new cohort of students, the teacher
supervising online learning only has to provide the main material once. Thereafter, the job of the
teacher is to keep the material up to date, as well as to monitor and support students as they learn.
This system is a far more effective use of time, and allows the teacher to achieve a much greater
effectiveness with less repetition of tasks. Student participation and performance can be logged by
the computer system, thus removing the need for time–consuming administration. Another
advantage of online education is flexibility in content and supplementary support. Teaching in a
classroom usually operates to a defined curriculum with fixed content and clear goals.

Both can better understand the issues pertaining to distance learning by referring to the outline
provided. Benefits are based upon research and technology, but the level of importance is based
merely upon personal opinion and experience. Although personal opinion is important, personal
experience is the best way to determine the benefits of a distance learning program. The outline
was also prepared by research obtained from an article written by a college professor of English at
the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. "Despite all the problems I had, I would take
another online course." (Lynn H. Deming, entitled, Distance Learning: One Student's Perspective of
an Online Course.) Also, evidence of success for this outline was found by researching a case study
at Brunel University. "Quality assurance in the university has always been considered in three,
equally important, ways: the curriculum and its assessment; the handling of coursework and
assignments; and the liaison with students." (Quality assurance for distance learning: a case study at
Brunel University, British Journal of Educational Technology; Jan2004, Vol. 35 Issue 1, p5, 7p.) In
conclusion, my outline was prepared through personal experience not only from my perspective but
also from a student as written by a college instructor. It can clearly be seen that distance learning
programs definitely have their benefits

Personal Benefits Of Education
Throughout my academic career every academic personnel I have ever encountered has always
said, in some version, "The more education you obtain the more money, experiences and
opportunities you will be able to receive within your lifetime." These words of wisdom have
propelled me to gain as much education as I can, while sharing all the knowledge that I have
obtained with others. As I progressed through my education I have seen this wisdom to be true. By
furthering my education, I have been able to meet people from all walks of life and careers, I have
been able to travel all throughout Europe and see the places that I had only been able to learn and
see within the pages of my textbooks, and I have been able to learn and understand some of the most
complex issues that continue to plague society. Being a witness to the benefits that education has
brought me to be someone that helps others obtain the benefits of education.
Many believe that education can solely be gained within the classroom, to me education and
knowledge is not limited to the classroom, but is gained through every encounter you have with
someone, no matter their age. Meaning education is obtained not only through the classroom setting,
but also through life experiences and from others. This openness to the mutual sharing of
knowledge is the mindset and approach I have used to teach and or tutor others over my high
school and collegiate career. During high school, I had the privilege of being a peer mentor to

Benefit Of Bilingual Education
Would you like to have the skill of being able to talk and read in two different languages? Do you
want your world to be widened into many more places you would be able to travel to? When
schools teach with bilingual education, these skills are given to the student. They will obtain many
skills and advantages when learning with bilingual education. These skills will last all throughout
their lives. These skills will be very useful in many aspects of everyday life. Schools should teach
with bilingual education because schools are becoming more diverse, to give students social
advantages, to widen a person's' job opportunities in the future, and because being bilingual
strengthens the brain.
Schools should teach with bilingual education because schools are becoming more diverse. In
American schools, about eleven million immigrant children are taught every year. (Bell 10). About

Schools should use bilingual education because it will give the student many job opportunities in
the future. Most business in America is done in English, not knowing English can put people at a
disadvantage (Alegria 41). All around the world, adults who are bilingual have more job
opportunities than those who are monolingual ("The Benefits..."). It is shown than those who are

The Benefits Of Higher Education
When it comes to the topic of the benefits of higher education, most of us will readily agree that the
most measured benefit of higher education is of course graduate salaries, from some reports, it
shows that higher education do result in higher earning power. What's more, the earnings premium
associated with higher education grows over lifetime. However, the benefits of having a higher
education are manifold and range from financial to cultural and even our personal life. In "Should
Everyone Go to College", Stephanie Owen and Isabel Sawhill's mentioned that we take a rather
narrow view of the value of a college degree, focusing on the earning premium. There are many
non–monetary benefits of schooling which are harder to measure but...show more content...
Remember there is always a plan for everyone and our options are limitless.
Networking and social skills, are also two of the important non–monetary benefits that higher
education can bring to us. I'm strongly feel those two benefits are closely connected to each
other. College has a lot to do with networking, in college, we have study groups, internship, all
different kinds of programs and clubs, throughout these activities we are always forced to interact
with people that might have different personality with us. College does push students from
different backgrounds into uncomfortable and unavoidable social situation come together, it
helps us get out of our comfort zone and try to start the awkward but friendly conversation with
our classmates or professors. We might be surprised at what we could learn from others. Also we
never know where a new friendship will eventually take us. When I was in college, my instructors
always told us to keep a nice relationship with your classmates and teachers because you never
know if your classmates would work at the office that you will have an interview in the future. If
they can say something good for you, then your chances of getting that job will be increased a lot.
The diversity on campus, most of people will say that the diversity on campus mostly benefits
students with color, however, I feel it benefits everyone. Learning with people from a variety of
backgrounds encourages people

The Benefits of Higher Education Essay
Higher education in the United States arose as an answer to the need to train clergy for the seminary.
Throughout the centuries, higher education has evolved to become one of the principal means in
educating individuals in specific areas of study. Individuals seek higher education to become more
proficient in a particular occupation, area of study, or as a requisite for employment or advancement
in specific fields such as engineering, management, or the sciences. The benefits that individuals who
attend institutions of higher learning realize are more than education; the benefits are numerous and
consist of socioeconomic benefits as well as personal benefits for the scholar, including income
benefits, employment advantages as well as...show more content...
These benefits affect local institutions that depend on volunteers to operate such as food and
homeless shelters, Habitat for Humanity, local Boy's and Girl's Clubs, as well as various other
charities who rely on volunteers. Moreover, the more individuals who vote influence the overall
government and its policies, supporting the ideology of our founding fathers. Government is a
reflection of the will of a greater number of citizens, and individuals with more education vote more
often than less educated persons, therefore, educating society as a whole improves a democratic
form of government.
In addition to the above–mentioned social benefits, one may also note that higher education also
contributes to the creation, development, and operation of public institutions. While discussing
non–market private and social benefits of higher education, Walter W. McMahon, in his report
"Advancing Higher Education," states, "...they likely contribute more than proportionately to the
development of civic institutions, democratic institutions, and rule of law. These benefits in turn set
the stage for substantial economic growth" (McMahon, Advancing). He goes on to state, "Civil
institutions are built, new ideas are generated, and environmental conditions are put in place such as
lower state crime, welfare, health and incarceration costs that

Benefits Of Early Childhood Education
INTRODUCTION Early childhood education has not always been the top priority in the
education world. Although, research has proved that it should be the top priority as the benefits
of Early Childhood Education are innumerous. Extensive neuroscience research has discovered
that the brain is build over time and it is built from the bottom up. Early childhood experiences
directly affect the quality brain development. Establishing a sturdy foundation through a high
quality early childhood education experience, will dramatically develop child's brain. As a result,
they will have a brighter future. In this essay, I will propose a plan for the children of 2020 and
how to ensure the best early childhood education experience. I personally believe that racially,
culturally, linguistically and developmentally responsive practices parental involvement are critical
to the sturdy foundation that is essential to the positive early childhood experience. RACIALLY,
CULTURALLY, LINGUISTICALLY, AND DEVELOPMENTALLY RESPONSIVE PRACTICES
I believe that racially, culturally, linguistically responsive practices are essential to creating a
fruitful learning experience for any child at any age. With that said, it is exceptionally important for
children in the early childhood age group to be taught appropriately. Due to the way the brain
develops, children are very susceptible to new information. When taught repetitively over a period
of time, it then becomes part of who they are and their own

Inclusive Education Benefits All
Every child has the ability to learn, but the way a child learns and processes knowledge can be very
different, especially for a child with special needs. (Mainstreaming Special Education in the
Classroom) As a society we owe all children the chance to reach their full potential, thus we must set
up an environment where this accessible. Integrated education unarguably allows the must
vulnerable and excluded children this chance. According to Inclusiveschools.org, "Inclusion" does
not simply mean placing students with physical or mental disability in general mainstream
classrooms, but rather offers fundamental change to school community and how children learn
altogether. Effective models of inclusive education according to various sources, is the right model
of education for special needs students because it allows greater access to mainstream curriculum,
preparation for integration in an inclusive society, and promotes a tolerant and inclusive society.
(Full inclusion: Has its time arrived?, The Benefits of inclusive Education.)
Uniquely, in inclusive classrooms, students with special needs have access to the mainstream
curriculum, thus giving them more opportunities for academic growth. (Is Integrating Children with
special needs in mainstream classrooms beneficial?) Students with disabilities do better when in a
setting where expectations are higher and more is asked of them. The students will flourish

Benefits of Physical Education in Elementary and Early Childhood Settings
The need for quality physical education in elementary schools is an important needed foundation for
young children to maintain a future healthy lifestyle. The benefits of having physical education in
elementary schools are endless. For example, physical education helps fight childhood obesity,
lower the risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes, and promote active children to be active adults.
However, the rhetoric surrounding physical education in these schools are...show more content...
However, they noted that schools without the funds to hire properly trained physical education
teachers will have to rely on current staff members to cover the new physical education classes
(Borland, 2011). Unfortunately, this becomes a problem in most schools, because teachers feel like
there is not enough time to focus on physical education because they are burden by producing test
scores also. However, it is not a lost cause. Teachers can implement physical education in their
classroom in simple methods of the lesson they are teaching. For example, in math, teachers can
have students count their jumps, while they jump up and down, or do jump in jacks when spelling
out words. Schools are evaluated on test scores for core curriculums like math, writing, and reading,
not body and fitness. Understandably, those subjects are very important as well as physical education.
Research has shown that there are ways to alleviate the budget constraints for physical education.
There are four grants in particular to help. One is the Carol M. White Physical Education Program,
the main program by the federal government for elementary schools. The grant is given to
community organizations that distribute funds to assist schools with their physical education and
after school programs. The funds are given to Local Education Agencies, or LEAs, that then
distribute money to schools in

Benefits Of A College Education
I believe that the costs of a college education does not outweigh the benefits . People with college
degrees make more money , studies show people with a college education grow intellectually and
mature as a person and those with advanced degrees earned two to three times as much as high
school . However some people belive the cost of colleges and unversites outweighs the benefits not to
mention "there is mounting evidence that recent college graduates are struggling to find good jobs."
(Abel) . This means people who graduated college aren't able to find good paying jobs . This
important because studies show people aren't able to find a job when they graduate college and they
put so much money into a college or university and their outcome wasn't so great . Secondly , In
recent years, students have been paying more to attend college and earning less upon
graduation–trends that have led many observers to question whether a college education remains a
good investment." ( Abel ) . This is important because people are wondering is a college education
worth paying for when people are in debts . This means studies have shown more people pay more
to attend college than they earn after college . Yes this may be true but People with college degrees

Essay on The Benefits of Preschool
The Benefits of Preschool
Preschool isn't just a place for parents to drop off their children while they are at work for the day.
It is in preschool where children learn the necessary skills needed to succeed in school and in life.
With high–quality preschools and qualified teachers the possibilities are endless. It's not only the
children who reap the benefits of Early Childhood Education; their parents, fellow peers, and even
society feel the positive effects of quality preschool programs. Children enrolled in quality
preschool programs are more likely to succeed academically and socially when they are older.
Many children begin school at the ages of 5 or 6, the age when a child enters kindergarten.
However, children?s...show more content...
Such things as respect, responsibility, and empathy for their fellow peers are all characteristics they
acquire while attending preschool. Independence is another key attribute that students learn in the
early years of preschool. Such simple tasks like tying your shoes or zippering up a coat all
contribute to the independence of these small children. Anything that allows them to do for
themselves, rather than rely on the help of others is a positive thing for them. Another important life
lesson that they learn early on and will carry with them for the rest of their lives is that they are
accountable of the decisions they make. A teacher may give them an option of a particular juice or
snack at snack time; this particular choice must be thought out carefully because once they?ve taken
the juice or snack they can?t change it (Rhodes, 1999). This teaches them to conscientiously think
about the decisions they are about to make, knowing that they have to live with their decisions.
The long term benefits of quality preschool programs can be noticed even after high school and
college. Children who attend quality preschool programs at a young age are more equipped to be
successful later on in life. The Carolina

Benefits Of College Education
As the gateway to the American middle–class shrinks and companies wrestle for top spots in the
economy, employers and organizations seek the most prestigious young adults and graduates. In
today's modern society, this means that people with college degrees will land jobs that others don't.
Many citizens believe a college education is unnecessary to make a sufficient living. This might be
true on some occasions, but a college education has a clear impact on your future. College might not

This sounds expensive, but the higher salaries that college graduates earn pays off. A college
degree costs negative $500,000, according to a paper by David Autor, an M.I.T economist. Not
attending college is costly. In the long run, completing a college education is well worth it.
Not only will a college education bring in more money from paychecks, but will also brighten up
resumes and improve your people skills. College puts you through invaluable experiences where you
learn real–world skills such as time–management and critical thinking. Even though the information
you learn in the classroom is relevant, these real–world skills are priceless. You also gain additional
credibility with a college degree. If an employer has two well–experienced applicants to chose from
and one of them has a college degree, then ultimately the employer would choose the applicant with
the college degree. The label on your degree is also insignificant unless you are pursuing to become
a teacher, lawyer, architect, doctor, or engineer, according to Michael Hampton, director of career
development at Western OregonUniversity. Most companies will call for just a degree or some
college education to apply.
Besides improving credibility and increasing pay, a college degree can help you live a healthier, a
more social and contributing life. Studies show that parents with a college degree are more

Benefits Of Technology In Education
No one can deny that technology is becoming a major portion of daily life. The use of technology is
impacting the use of medicine, transportation, and work in an unprecedented way allowing for
innovations to happen daily. With such rapid expansion, it did not take long for technology to spread
into the classroom. Technology started influencing lectures with power points, videos, games, and
supplemental material that enhance the grasp of specific concepts to allow for more than one means
of learning. But is this wide acceptance of technology something that will benefit learning for all
students? Success stories are cited from Wales, where an adaptive electronic learning platform
brought down failure rates from 37% to 7% (Kurshan). But...show more content...
Now this technological classroom was not always feasible due to the potential cost. However,
with more technological innovations happening to make things like computers and phones faster,
the cost tends to go down. One can find a model older version of a laptop that is sufficient for
school use for a much lower cost than release. This would allow schools to have laptops and tablets
for students to use for those that cannot afford one. A rental policy could also be put in place to take
the laptop home with an inexpensive mobile network tool in order to provide internet access to
complete online/technological assignments at home. This would especially be effective in
lower–income family homes to ensure every student has an equal opportunity to succeed. However,
there is opposition to the incorporation of technology. This concern stems mostly from weighing the
pros and cons of efficient learning with quality learning. Apple states that an over–reliance in
technology creates people not skilled in any other area (qtd. in Kemp 2014). What this means is
that while there is an abundance of knowledge available, it takes away the human aspect of being a
good teacher and giving a whole understanding of a topic (Kemp 6).
Perhaps the criticisms for technology being used is a question of human nature. This is apparent in
the concern that

The benefits of community college and other small colleges and intuitions are great for going on to
a four year university after you leave the two year intuition, however if the community college or

Proposal is also a great opportunity for more young adults to better their education after high
school especially if they want to start off at a small school and work their way up to a big school

absurd to me because even if u don't finish you still have to pay that money back and in order to

receive more hands–on, career–minded education than students at traditional schools. Individuals are

company employees and clients on a regular basis. The ability to work on projects on–site can help
students understand if it is the right area for them and provide a networking opportunity to talk
about the field with seasoned professionals. Such programs can help provide basic knowledge with
real working experience necessary to enter the workforce directly after high school without a college

the support of a mentor who can answer questions and provide guidance in the subject area. If a
student shows serious interest, employers often invest in them to replace those who are retiring in
the workforce as employers look at them as trained applicants with the ability to perform in a
skilled occupation. Even employers who require a college education may offer the opportunity for
students to come back and be considered for first hire. In addition, participation in

Benefits of Early Childhood Education The earlier you enrich a child's life with an education, the
greater the outcome will be in the future. Parents are the first teachers of young children. Children
acquire their knowledge and actions from observing their parents. That is how their minds develop
and how they obtain certain skills. They learn the basis of reading and writing skills at young ages.
Having an early education helps later down the road with saving money. Early Childhood Education
leads to social and emotional development, increased literacy, and fiscal savings. The first outcome of
early childhood Education is social and emotional development. The key to a critical foundation for
lifelong learning and development is positive social and emotional development (Social & Emotional

Having a high education is one of the largest factors for saving money and helping the economy.
Children with a higher literacy rate pay fewer taxes, earn more money, and are less susceptible to

helps the economy. These children are more likely to get jobs, work efficiently, and buy things
(Calman and Tarr–Whelan 2). By being educated you save money and with that money they are able
to buy things they want, which boost the economy. Children that have an early education save time

Inadequate education in young children leads to excessive spending that is not necessary or is

Online learning has limited social interaction. This is because limited opportunities are provided for
students to interact face–to–face to professors and other students. Students may also have to face the
problem like they have to wait for hours for reply of professors to questions. This is because
professors are not always online. The professors may have their personal time to do their own things.
Apart from that, students are difficult to develop relationships with classmates when study online.
This is because students do not have the social interaction with their classmates. Hence, online
learning is a better choice for a shy person as they no need to worry about interacting with other
students. However, students will lose chance to have the opportunity to interact face to face with
their classmates or even work as teamwork with their classmates which can be helpful for their study
purposes when they study online. Through teamwork, students can learn the importance of
cooperation as according to Aristotle, "Man is by nature a social animal." Man's nature is such that
he cannot afford to live alone. No human being is known to have normally developed in isolation.
Online learning cannot provide the opportunity for students to learn about cooperation. This is
because most of the communications are through e–mail, chat room or discussion groups, but no

education is required for almost every decent job but how is one to obtain an education at such
high costs. These high prices make it harder for anyone who has a low income to afford to attend.
Education should be obtainable for all, not just those who are wealthy. There are people e in this
world who would do anything for a chance to go to school and be able to learn but because of high
tuition they won't have the same opportunities that others who are lucky enough to go have.
High costs segregate the poor from the rich. People with money have the advantage because they
don't exactly have to worry about being in debt or whether they will have enough...show more

Everyone is required to go to school in order to get a job and after high school education is no longer
free. To further your education after high school one must attend a college which has to be paid for
and from there you have to get a job just to be able to eventually begin an adult life. For a majority
going to college is not an option. Those who are not able to go to college, will most likely end up
having to get a low paying job and have to live a life where they will have to struggle.
College costs are still on the rise. Over the years the price has risen drastically. Back then school
didn't cost as much as it does now. In the article "The Argument for Tuition–Free College", by Keith
Ellison, it is stated that "The cost of attending a four–year college has increased by 1,122 percent
since 1978." With that in mind, it is easy to see how unaffordable it may be some people. From a
personal experience, I know that some students will spend 10–15 years or more of their life trying to
pay off their student loans. Davidson says,"At the same time, debt from student loans has become
the largest form of personal debt in America–bigger than credit card debt and auto loans." Debt
makes it hard for someone to begin a life of their own after college.
On the other hand, some believe that the high cost is necessary. There are many things to consider
when working towards free college. If it was free then taxes would be raised, getting into colleges
would be

Benefits Education Essay

  • 1. Essay Advantages of an Online Education Advantages of Online Education Is online education a valuable innovation that improves opportunities for students or is it a poor substitute for traditional, classroom–based teaching? It has long been recognized that students and educators need to use a variety of tools in order to keep up with the skills that are needed in the contemporary world. Online education is becoming popular, but some people raise questions about its effectiveness in comparison to traditional learning. While teachers will always be involved in the education process, there is room also to consider new ways in which teachers, students and technology can work together. Technology is here to stay, and everyone in an industrialized society needs to learn how to make...show more content... There is even the potential to access quizzes and tests, complete them, and submit them for analysis. Feedback, often with grading capabilities and tips for improvement, is built in and can be received in an extremely fast turnaround. Instructors just simply cannot deliver this high–speed response because they have to deal with each student's work consecutively and they are subject to the limitations of needing to eat, sleep and have a private life as well as being professional teachers. The internet is always available; except in rare cases of technical failure, and is always reliably fast in its response. From a teaching perspective, online learning also provides economies of time usage. Instead of delivering information every year to each new cohort of students, the teacher supervising online learning only has to provide the main material once. Thereafter, the job of the teacher is to keep the material up to date, as well as to monitor and support students as they learn. This system is a far more effective use of time, and allows the teacher to achieve a much greater effectiveness with less repetition of tasks. Student participation and performance can be logged by the computer system, thus removing the need for time–consuming administration. Another advantage of online education is flexibility in content and supplementary support. Teaching in a classroom usually operates to a defined curriculum with fixed content and clear goals. Both can better understand the issues pertaining to distance learning by referring to the outline provided. Benefits are based upon research and technology, but the level of importance is based merely upon personal opinion and experience. Although personal opinion is important, personal experience is the best way to determine the benefits of a distance learning program. The outline was also prepared by research obtained from an article written by a college professor of English at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. "Despite all the problems I had, I would take another online course." (Lynn H. Deming, entitled, Distance Learning: One Student's Perspective of an Online Course.) Also, evidence of success for this outline was found by researching a case study at Brunel University. "Quality assurance in the university has always been considered in three, equally important, ways: the curriculum and its assessment; the handling of coursework and assignments; and the liaison with students." (Quality assurance for distance learning: a case study at Brunel University, British Journal of Educational Technology; Jan2004, Vol. 35 Issue 1, p5, 7p.) In conclusion, my outline was prepared through personal experience not only from my perspective but also from a student as written by a college instructor. It can clearly be seen that distance learning programs definitely have their benefits Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Personal Benefits Of Education Throughout my academic career every academic personnel I have ever encountered has always said, in some version, "The more education you obtain the more money, experiences and opportunities you will be able to receive within your lifetime." These words of wisdom have propelled me to gain as much education as I can, while sharing all the knowledge that I have obtained with others. As I progressed through my education I have seen this wisdom to be true. By furthering my education, I have been able to meet people from all walks of life and careers, I have been able to travel all throughout Europe and see the places that I had only been able to learn and see within the pages of my textbooks, and I have been able to learn and understand some of the most complex issues that continue to plague society. Being a witness to the benefits that education has brought me to be someone that helps others obtain the benefits of education. Many believe that education can solely be gained within the classroom, to me education and knowledge is not limited to the classroom, but is gained through every encounter you have with someone, no matter their age. Meaning education is obtained not only through the classroom setting, but also through life experiences and from others. This openness to the mutual sharing of knowledge is the mindset and approach I have used to teach and or tutor others over my high school and collegiate career. During high school, I had the privilege of being a peer mentor to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Benefit Of Bilingual Education Would you like to have the skill of being able to talk and read in two different languages? Do you want your world to be widened into many more places you would be able to travel to? When schools teach with bilingual education, these skills are given to the student. They will obtain many skills and advantages when learning with bilingual education. These skills will last all throughout their lives. These skills will be very useful in many aspects of everyday life. Schools should teach with bilingual education because schools are becoming more diverse, to give students social advantages, to widen a person's' job opportunities in the future, and because being bilingual strengthens the brain. Schools should use bilingual education because it will give the student many job opportunities in the future. Most business in America is done in English, not knowing English can put people at a disadvantage (Alegria 41). All around the world, adults who are bilingual have more job opportunities than those who are monolingual ("The Benefits..."). • 5. The Benefits Of Higher Education When it comes to the topic of the benefits of higher education, most of us will readily agree that the most measured benefit of higher education is of course graduate salaries, from some reports, it shows that higher education do result in higher earning power. What's more, the earnings premium associated with higher education grows over lifetime. However, the benefits of having a higher education are manifold and range from financial to cultural and even our personal life. In "Should Everyone Go to College", Stephanie Owen and Isabel Sawhill's mentioned that we take a rather narrow view of the value of a college degree, focusing on the earning premium. There are many non–monetary benefits of schooling which are harder to measure but...show more content... Remember there is always a plan for everyone and our options are limitless. Networking and social skills, are also two of the important non–monetary benefits that higher education can bring to us. I'm strongly feel those two benefits are closely connected to each other. College has a lot to do with networking, in college, we have study groups, internship, all different kinds of programs and clubs, throughout these activities we are always forced to interact with people that might have different personality with us. College does push students from different backgrounds into uncomfortable and unavoidable social situation come together, it helps us get out of our comfort zone and try to start the awkward but friendly conversation with our classmates or professors. We might be surprised at what we could learn from others. Also we never know where a new friendship will eventually take us. When I was in college, my instructors always told us to keep a nice relationship with your classmates and teachers because you never know if your classmates would work at the office that you will have an interview in the future. If they can say something good for you, then your chances of getting that job will be increased a lot. The diversity on campus, most of people will say that the diversity on campus mostly benefits students with color, however, I feel it benefits everyone. • 6. The Benefits of Higher Education Essay Higher education in the United States arose as an answer to the need to train clergy for the seminary. Throughout the centuries, higher education has evolved to become one of the principal means in educating individuals in specific areas of study. Individuals seek higher education to become more proficient in a particular occupation, area of study, or as a requisite for employment or advancement in specific fields such as engineering, management, or the sciences. The benefits that individuals who attend institutions of higher learning realize are more than education; the benefits are numerous and consist of socioeconomic benefits as well as personal benefits for the scholar, including income benefits, employment advantages as well as...show more content... These benefits affect local institutions that depend on volunteers to operate such as food and homeless shelters, Habitat for Humanity, local Boy's and Girl's Clubs, as well as various other charities who rely on volunteers. Moreover, the more individuals who vote influence the overall government and its policies, supporting the ideology of our founding fathers. Government is a reflection of the will of a greater number of citizens, and individuals with more education vote more often than less educated persons, therefore, educating society as a whole improves a democratic form of government. In addition to the above–mentioned social benefits, one may also note that higher education also contributes to the creation, development, and operation of public institutions. While discussing non–market private and social benefits of higher education, Walter W. McMahon, in his report "Advancing Higher Education," states, "...they likely contribute more than proportionately to the development of civic institutions, democratic institutions, and rule of law. These benefits in turn set the stage for substantial economic growth" (McMahon, Advancing). He goes on to state, "Civil institutions are built, new ideas are generated, and environmental conditions are put in place such as lower state crime, welfare, health and incarceration costs that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Benefits Of Early Childhood Education INTRODUCTION Early childhood education has not always been the top priority in the education world. Although, research has proved that it should be the top priority as the benefits of Early Childhood Education are innumerous. Extensive neuroscience research has discovered that the brain is build over time and it is built from the bottom up. Early childhood experiences directly affect the quality brain development. Establishing a sturdy foundation through a high quality early childhood education experience, will dramatically develop child's brain. As a result, they will have a brighter future. In this essay, I will propose a plan for the children of 2020 and how to ensure the best early childhood education experience. I personally believe that racially, culturally, linguistically and developmentally responsive practices parental involvement are critical to the sturdy foundation that is essential to the positive early childhood experience. RACIALLY, CULTURALLY, LINGUISTICALLY, AND DEVELOPMENTALLY RESPONSIVE PRACTICES I believe that racially, culturally, linguistically responsive practices are essential to creating a fruitful learning experience for any child at any age. With that said, it is exceptionally important for children in the early childhood age group to be taught appropriately. Due to the way the brain develops, children are very susceptible to new information. When taught repetitively over a period of time, it then becomes part of who they are and their own Get more content on HelpWriting.net

(Mainstreaming Special Education in the Classroom) As a society we owe all children the chance to reach their full potential, thus we must set up an environment where this accessible. Integrated education unarguably allows the must vulnerable and excluded children this chance. According to Inclusiveschools.org, "Inclusion" does not simply mean placing students with physical or mental disability in general mainstream classrooms, but rather offers fundamental change to school community and how children learn altogether. Effective models of inclusive education according to various sources, is the right model of education for special needs students because it allows greater access to mainstream curriculum, preparation for integration in an inclusive society, and promotes a tolerant and inclusive society. Benefits of Physical Education Essay Benefits of Physical Education in Elementary and Early Childhood Settings Tracy Linwood PED 212: Foundation of Movement & Motor Activities Instructor Carly Davenport June 6, 2012 Benefits of Physical Education in Elementary and Early Childhood Settings The need for quality physical education in elementary schools is an important needed foundation for young children to maintain a future healthy lifestyle. The benefits of having physical education in elementary schools are endless. For example, physical education helps fight childhood obesity, lower the risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes, and promote active children to be active adults. However, the rhetoric surrounding physical education in these schools are...show more content... However, they noted that schools without the funds to hire properly trained physical education teachers will have to rely on current staff members to cover the new physical education classes (Borland, 2011). Unfortunately, this becomes a problem in most schools, because teachers feel like there is not enough time to focus on physical education because they are burden by producing test scores also. However, it is not a lost cause. Teachers can implement physical education in their classroom in simple methods of the lesson they are teaching. For example, in math, teachers can have students count their jumps, while they jump up and down, or do jump in jacks when spelling out words. Schools are evaluated on test scores for core curriculums like math, writing, and reading, not body and fitness. Understandably, those subjects are very important as well as physical education. Research has shown that there are ways to alleviate the budget constraints for physical education. There are four grants in particular to help. One is the Carol M. White Physical Education Program, the main program by the federal government for elementary schools. The grant is given to community organizations that distribute funds to assist schools with their physical education and after school programs. The funds are given to Local Education Agencies, or LEAs, that then distribute money to schools in Get more content on HelpWriting.net

People with college degrees make more money , studies show people with a college education grow intellectually and mature as a person and those with advanced degrees earned two to three times as much as high school . However some people belive the cost of colleges and unversites outweighs the benefits not to mention "there is mounting evidence that recent college graduates are struggling to find good jobs." (Abel) . This means people who graduated college aren't able to find good paying jobs . This important because studies show people aren't able to find a job when they graduate college and they put so much money into a college or university and their outcome wasn't so great . Secondly , In recent years, students have been paying more to attend college and earning less upon graduation–trends that have led many observers to question whether a college education remains a good investment." ( Abel ) . This is important because people are wondering is a college education worth paying for when people are in debts . This means studies have shown more people pay more to attend college than they earn after college . Yes this may be true but People with college degrees make more money . • 11. Essay on The Benefits of Preschool The Benefits of Preschool Preschool isn't just a place for parents to drop off their children while they are at work for the day. It is in preschool where children learn the necessary skills needed to succeed in school and in life. With high–quality preschools and qualified teachers the possibilities are endless. It's not only the children who reap the benefits of Early Childhood Education; their parents, fellow peers, and even society feel the positive effects of quality preschool programs. Children enrolled in quality preschool programs are more likely to succeed academically and socially when they are older. Such things as respect, responsibility, and empathy for their fellow peers are all characteristics they acquire while attending preschool. Independence is another key attribute that students learn in the early years of preschool. Such simple tasks like tying your shoes or zippering up a coat all contribute to the independence of these small children. Anything that allows them to do for themselves, rather than rely on the help of others is a positive thing for them. Another important life lesson that they learn early on and will carry with them for the rest of their lives is that they are accountable of the decisions they make. A teacher may give them an option of a particular juice or snack at snack time; this particular choice must be thought out carefully because once they?ve taken the juice or snack they can?t change it (Rhodes, 1999). This teaches them to conscientiously think about the decisions they are about to make, knowing that they have to live with their decisions. The long term benefits of quality preschool programs can be noticed even after high school and college. Children who attend quality preschool programs at a young age are more equipped to be successful later on in life. The Carolina Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Benefits Of College Education As the gateway to the American middle–class shrinks and companies wrestle for top spots in the economy, employers and organizations seek the most prestigious young adults and graduates. In today's modern society, this means that people with college degrees will land jobs that others don't. Many citizens believe a college education is unnecessary to make a sufficient living. This might be true on some occasions, but a college education has a clear impact on your future. College might not be for everyone, but those who complete their education reap the benefits. This sounds expensive, but the higher salaries that college graduates earn pays off. A college degree costs negative $500,000, according to a paper by David Autor, an M.I.T economist. Not attending college is costly. In the long run, completing a college education is well worth it. Not only will a college education bring in more money from paychecks, but will also brighten up resumes and improve your people skills. College puts you through invaluable experiences where you learn real–world skills such as time–management and critical thinking. Even though the information you learn in the classroom is relevant, these real–world skills are priceless. You also gain additional credibility with a college degree. If an employer has two well–experienced applicants to chose from and one of them has a college degree, then ultimately the employer would choose the applicant with the college degree. The label on your degree is also insignificant unless you are pursuing to become a teacher, lawyer, architect, doctor, or engineer, according to Michael Hampton, director of career development at Western OregonUniversity. • 13. Benefits Of Technology In Education No one can deny that technology is becoming a major portion of daily life. The use of technology is impacting the use of medicine, transportation, and work in an unprecedented way allowing for innovations to happen daily. With such rapid expansion, it did not take long for technology to spread into the classroom. Technology started influencing lectures with power points, videos, games, and supplemental material that enhance the grasp of specific concepts to allow for more than one means of learning. But is this wide acceptance of technology something that will benefit learning for all students? Success stories are cited from Wales, where an adaptive electronic learning platform brought down failure rates from 37% to 7% (Kurshan). But...show more content... Now this technological classroom was not always feasible due to the potential cost. However, with more technological innovations happening to make things like computers and phones faster, the cost tends to go down. One can find a model older version of a laptop that is sufficient for school use for a much lower cost than release. This would allow schools to have laptops and tablets for students to use for those that cannot afford one. A rental policy could also be put in place to take the laptop home with an inexpensive mobile network tool in order to provide internet access to complete online/technological assignments at home. This would especially be effective in lower–income family homes to ensure every student has an equal opportunity to succeed. However, there is opposition to the incorporation of technology. This concern stems mostly from weighing the pros and cons of efficient learning with quality learning. Apple states that an over–reliance in technology creates people not skilled in any other area (qtd. in Kemp 2014). What this means is that while there is an abundance of knowledge available, it takes away the human aspect of being a good teacher and giving a whole understanding of a topic (Kemp 6). Perhaps the criticisms for technology being used is a question of human nature. This is apparent in the concern that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

College Education Benefits I am writing you in regards to you're a bill that you are supporting "Recognizing the challenges and burdens associated with the rising cost of college education" that was introduced to congress on January 27, 2015. You make very good points on the topic and I agree with your views and the fact that I am in college now, helps me relate to this topic even more. I am a 24 year old junior at the University of West Georgia but I am from out of state so my tuition is higher than most and because I am an independent student it makes it harder for me to get financial aid. I originally started college in 2009 fall at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania where the tuition was high but it has gone up since then. I stayed there for a year and couldn't...show more content... The benefits of community college and other small colleges and intuitions are great for going on to a four year university after you leave the two year intuition, however if the community college or two year school is the end of your road to bettering your education then it becomes harder to compete with the students coming out of the four year intuition. The America's College Promise Proposal is also a great opportunity for more young adults to better their education after high school especially if they want to start off at a small school and work their way up to a big school or university. The fact that college loan debt for students exceeds one trillion dollars is extremely absurd to me because even if u don't finish you still have to pay that money back and in order to finish, in most instances depending on the help u get from your support system you may have to keep borrowing money just to stay in school. Students and graduates must go through so much debt to obtain a degree to get a job just to pay the loans back is confusing to me because if the price of college was lower than there would probably wouldn't be so many people in trouble and out of work with very little Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Vocational programs can be either at schools with basic classes in the trade, on actual job sites or both. Work on actual job sites allows students the opportunity to work with company employees and clients on a regular basis. The ability to work on projects on–site can help students understand if it is the right area for them and provide a networking opportunity to talk about the field with seasoned professionals. Such programs can help provide basic knowledge with real working experience necessary to enter the workforce directly after high school without a college degree. On–site programs often offer a personalized approach with specific deadlines to meet and the support of a mentor who can answer questions and provide guidance in the subject area. If a student shows serious interest, employers often invest in them to replace those who are retiring in the workforce as employers look at them as trained applicants with the ability to perform in a skilled occupation. Even employers who require a college education may offer the opportunity for students to come back and be considered for first hire. The professors may have their personal time to do their own things. Apart from that, students are difficult to develop relationships with classmates when study online. This is because students do not have the social interaction with their classmates. Hence, online learning is a better choice for a shy person as they no need to worry about interacting with other students. However, students will lose chance to have the opportunity to interact face to face with their classmates or even work as teamwork with their classmates which can be helpful for their study purposes when they study online. Through teamwork, students can learn the importance of cooperation as according to Aristotle, "Man is by nature a social animal." Man's nature is such that he cannot afford to live alone.
