1. Marketing Manager - Oil and Gas
This is a market focused position for a Multi Billion Dollar Industrial Manufacturing Oil & Gas company in Houston to
help drive business success in the Oil & Gas markets with targeted strategies and focused programs. This role will be
critical for defining product roadmap, pricing and business model as well as initiatives and targeted programs to
drive market penetration and driving performance against plan for oil and gas markets in NA. This position will be
responsible for building and leveraging customer insight to achieve the above.
REQUIREMENT
Broad set of sales and marketing experiences (products mgmt, channel mgmt, sales, promotions) in the in the Oil &
Gas industry - particularly capital equipment.
Requirements:
4-year degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business, MBA preferred
Broad set of sales and marketing experiences (products mgmt, channel mgmt, sales, promotions)in the in the
Oil & Gas industry - particularly capital equipment a must
5+ years professional marketing experience
Experience with industrial products and markets, oil and gas industry experience preferred
Willingness to travel often
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Lead overall marketing strategy for the oil and gas markets with market and data driven decisions
Drive clarity in segmentation of customers and defining targeting customer
Develop product roadmaps
Development channel strategy and business model roadmap
Define opportunity pipeline
In conjunction with the NA Category Teams, prioritize business opportunities to grow the O&G business in NA
Program Management
Develop targeted programs with high ROI
Work in partnership with sales to identify and pursue new customers and customer specific opportunities
Build awareness and preference for the company's brands in this space
Drive customer engagement through e-tools and web sphere presence for our brand
Promotional Program Direction
Drive design and execution of data driven promotional programs, drive discipline in implementation and ROI
based thinking.
Drive customer first thinking through the organization and learning through experimentation
Drive market based learning through the company's Rapid Growth Process
Sales Support & Training
Champion sales growth and work with sales team to exceed sales targets for Oil and Gas markets and
targeted products.
Interact with Global and Regional Sales Managers to identify and support specific programs, promotions,
products
Be the subject matter expert for the GBU in NA in marketing, strategy and customer connectivity in regards
to the Oil & Gas industry
Drive a shared understanding of customer needs, portfolio fit and opportunities for growth
Develop training and tools to rapidly develop market focused capabilities in sales team in NA also looking to
leverage the same outside of NA.
Customer Insight & Business Intelligence
Be the market subject matter expert for the rest of the organization driving a clear understanding of user
behavior, customer personas, channel models, competitive intelligence and market trends.
