Holistic view of a
system requirements
We define three main levels of requirements elicitation:
High-level system overview. Has to inform
developers about the problem we are solving with the
system. We describe users who are using the system,
terms and definitions and objectives for the project.

User task level.Explains in exact details what task
has to be performed by a user and what are acceptance
criteria for the task. We usually use a user story format to
present tasks.

2. Module-level requirements. Each system consist
of a number ofinterfaces, modules and flows. At this
stage BA offers a suggestions on how users may
accomplish their tasks using different system modules.

We believe that a good business analyst has to understand
all three levels of the system, and explain how the system
will serve User and Organization needs through all of those
three levels.
We use a different set of techniques on each of those levels.
