LaSoft was founded in a mid of 2014th by 2 software
development professionals. At the moment, our team
consists of 7 highly productive, co-located teams. In
total, we employ 70 multi-talented and experienced
professionals including software engineers, UI/UX
designers, project managers and quality assurance
specialists.
Sinсe 2014 LaSoft has successfully delivered 40 small
and big web projects for customers from USA,
Europe, UK and Australia. There are a number of

PROJECT
OVERVIEW
AND SCOPE
The good practice at this stage is to
write down everything we know
about the potential project:
About customer and his vision for the
product
The need behind the product
Who is going to use the product
What problem the product will solve etc

7. After series of meetings (usually 3-4) step by step we define
modules of the product. Module is an essential part of the
product like registration, search, admin, blog etc.
The project specification will be shared with the customer and
the rest of the team as an entry point for the project
estimation.
At this stage we want to keep the product as simple as
possible, if we are not sure that some of the module are
essential parts of the product we try to move it to the later
stages of the delivery.

9. CREATE UI/UX BEFORE DEVELOPMENT
One of the web development efficiency rule is to have designs
and prototype before you wright the first line of code.
We are able to test the very first prototype without involving
single developer. Our UI/UX designer iterates with you until we
have a perfect match and clear understanding of the product.
Within 1-2 weeks our UI/UX designer will help you to visualize
your idea, or even will make a mobile or desktop prototype for
you. Having UI/UX designs and prototype upfront will save you
20%-40% of your project budget.

10. USE AGILE METHODOLOGY
There is no need to invent a bicycle when it is already exists. In most of our
projects we implement Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.

12. Proper planning will reduce the time to your involvement. You as a
client will need to be available 8 hours a week for a progress review,
decision making and demo. However, to be productive, our team needs
you to be available at least 15 minutes every day.
