This document discusses how libraries and information services (LIS) professionals can help researchers navigate new technologies like altmetrics. It recommends that LIS professionals understand researchers' workflows and priorities, demystify new technologies by explaining benefits without pressure, and provide training through short sessions, workshops, videos and other formats. The goal is for researchers to learn technologies in a low-pressure way through practice.
