Patios are exposed to changes in weather, constant foot traffic and in some cases, pool water. Your concrete patio sealer needs to do more than just keep your patio looking good – it needs to protect it.

3. Water Repellent
The most common way to seal a concrete patio is with a water
repellent like the Armor SX5000. A water repellent will slightly darken
the concrete or pavers and enhance their natural characteristics. The
barrier on the surface however can’t be seen to the visible eye. When
it it rains or when water and other liquids fall onto the concrete they
will bead up. The concrete will be protected from changes in weather,
snow and ice, salt and pool water without changing the look of the
concrete or adding a shine.
4. Wet-Look/High Gloss Sealer
Adding an attractive high shine luster to your concrete patio can be done in only a few
simple steps using the Armor AR5000 High Gloss Clear Coat. This water-based 100%
solids acrylic lacquer is designed to stand up to years of abrasion and weather
changes. In additional to providing a high gloss clear coat it will protect your patio
from UV rays, snow and ice, road salts and more. While you can’t add a color to this
sealer, you can acid stain your concrete prior to applying the AR500.
When the AR500 is applied to properly cleaned and prepared surfaces, it can last for
5+ years. If you don’t want a high gloss, consider the AR350 Satin Sheen.
