For cracks that are wet or actively letting in water, a hydrophobic polyurethane repair kit should be used. Hydrophobic kits react with water to form a foam that expands up to 40 times, filling the crack and stopping water from entering. The preparation involves cleaning out the crack and removing any previous repairs. Then the kit is applied by inserting injection ports into the crack and pumping the polyurethane solution into the crack through the ports. The material instantly stops water penetration upon contact and is fully cured after 24 hours.

2. How you repair a concrete crack is dependent on where the
crack is located and on the condition of the crack. Using the
wrong crack repair solution could result in the crack re-
forming, or in new cracks forming.

4. Preparation
Clean out the crack. Make sure the crack is free
of loose materials. If the crack has been
previously repaired, remove repair materials
completely.

5. Application
1. For hairline cracks, insert injection ports into the concrete every 6-
12 inches. For larger cracks, insert injection ports into the
concrete every 12 inches. Ports should be injected at a 45 degree
angle into the center of the crack. In some cases, the injection
ports can be injected directly in through the face of the crack.
2. Using water, test that the injection ports were properly inserted
and that the crack is accepting water through the ports.
3. Mix the polyurethane solution and accelerator into the injection
gun and screw the lid on.
4. Attach the injection gun to the ports and pump the material into
the crack through the ports. Start at the first, or bottom, port first.
5. Move up/down the crack until the crack has been repaired.
6. Wipe away any extra materials and let dry.

Let dry 24 hours. Reaction is immediate, water
will stop on contact.
