4. Indiana - eLearning Strategic Partner
• Indiana DOE selects Five-Star Technology Solutions to carry out four
(4) initiatives for all school districts in the state:
– Administrator Tech Boot Camps - A series of professional development
opportunities around the state of Indiana that will focus on building awareness,
understanding, and skills needed to be a 21st century innovative leader in today’s
schools and districts.
– eLearning Leadership Cadre - A group of educational technology leaders from
across Indiana who will focus on strategic components of 21st century teaching and
learning that directly impact student achievement and instructional practice, as well
as community and business partnerships. Assist in planning and implementation of
cadre meetings, along with establishing and maintaining a web presence for cadre
thoughts and vision for future direction.
– eLearning Certification Program - Launch a program designed to prepare
teachers to teach in an online environment. This program will be a pilot in nature
and will explore content and methods of preparing Indiana educators to facilitate
high quality online learning.
– Innovation Planning Grants - Launch a grant competition program to provide
grants to support schools interested in developing strategic plans to shape their
approach for transitioning to the digital age.
