8. Situation of Drug Addiction in
Pakistan.
According to the survey report of UNODC 2013
in
Pakistan.
• 6.7 Million people are Drug addicts.
• Drug addicted people’s age is between 15 to 65
year.
• Most addicted are between 25 to 39.
• There are only 1990 beds were available for
drug
treatment.

22. Concept of Drug free Campus
A Drug free campus is a place or institute Where
no one is allow to use any type of legal and illegal
substance and if any one is found using substance
he will be charged fine and punished or terminated

23. Our Success Story
 We Established 2 Universities, 2 Colleges & 3 Schools
as Drug Free Campuses.
 On our request Govt. of Punjab has nominated
thousand Focal Persons on Drugs in all the
Educational Institutions of Punjab to regulate the Drug
Demand Reduction Activities.
 We have succeeded to ban Pan, Supari, Gutka &
Energy Drinks in all Educational Institutions of Punjab
with the help Higher Education Department & Punjab
Food Authority.

24. Sheesha Smoking Bill:
The Punjab Prohibition Sheesha Smoking Bill 2014
The Punjab Prohibition Sheesha Smoking Bill 2014 who
tabled in Punjab Assembly March 11, 2014 through MPA
Ch. Shahbaz Ahmed written by Consultant, Anti
Drug/Narcotics Campaign Syed Zulfiqar Hussain. The
Speaker Punjab Assembly referred Sheesha Smoking Bill
2014 to Standing Committee Health Punjab Assembly and
12 review meeting held on that bill for some improvement
unfortunately, The Government of Punjab not send for
final implementation in Punjab Assembly during 2017.
Drug Addiction through Sheesha Cafes is still ongoing
through hidden cafes etc.

The Government of Punjab Higher Education Department nominated
Focal Person on Drug in the whole province, 790 focal persons on Drug

The Higher Education Department also gave direction to all universities
in Punjab to nominate Focal Person on Drug in universities, 52 focal
person nominated in different universities in the whole province.
