Motherhood is known for its high level of responsibility, the changes it makes to a woman's body, the toll it has on the mother's sleep schedule, and
the formation of a tight bond between mother and child. Due to those reasons and countless others, some professionals in the world of sport question
whether or not a woman can find a balance between the demand of being an elite athlete and the fulltime job that comes with being a parent. The
research on this topic is somewhat limited, but I am confident that the sources used in this paper are good quality. I have compiled qualitative data
from four separate scholarly papers and two news articles. My best evidence came from one case study conducted by Heidi Vollstadt Freeman (2008),
which analyzes interviews with eight different mothers during their post–partum return to training for the Olympics. My key findings included a trend
of the athletes compartmentalizing/separating their home life from their sport life and the importance of a strong support system. The bottom line is,
while struggles were apparent regarding what the demand of training and competing took from home life (lack of time and energy after intense training
sessions and financial/organizational travel obstacles), the mothers found that their new family life helped keep them motivated, increased their

Jamaican Bobsledding In 1988, the Winter Olympics were held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. One of the most remembered events within the Winter
Olympics was the debut of the Jamaican National Bobsled team. Bobsled is a winter sport in which teams of two or four sled down tight, winding
ice tracks. It is done in a cart that is called a bobsled; "a large usually metal sled used in racing and equipped with two pairs of runners in tandem, a
long seat for two or more people, a steering wheel, and a hand brake" (Webster Dictionary). The Jamaican underdogs in the competition were highly
underestimated by their opponents. The four historical Jamaican men that participated in the games were considered the most influential bobsledders
of all time. Dudley Stokes, Devon Harris, Michael White, and Chris Stokes were the four men that changed the face of bobsleigh. One of the most
common known movies still today that references the 1988 Winter Olympics is called "Cool Runnings." Although the situation itself is the same as in

We need TAES because it shows us what level sports authorities, clubs and organisations are currently playing at, and then it can show how they can
improve and then work towards helping them.
The aim of TAES is to provide a clear measurement of the present and future of how a CSP is functioning through an assessment that defines its

How it is assessed?
First a self–assessment of the organisation is made and then is graded poor, fair, good or excellent. Then after this an external assessment is made by
TAES, results are then all put together to make a list of possible improvements that could be made and then they will give these suggestions to the

Poor– this means that basically the local facilities or organisations have a poor result, and no approaches to help them have been planned.
Fair– This is where an approach to help the sports club or organisations has begun, they have the basic facilities at their place.
Good– This is where approaches have been made to sort out all relevant guidelines points these are all implemented systematically.
Excellent– this is where approaches have been made and all have been worked on effectively and the effectiveness of what they have done has been
measured.
