Cheat box proposal
1. ‘A quiz to cheat the system and test your loyalties’
Our audience is made up of 18 - 24 as they are the ages of university students,
which is the target audience for our show. Because of the minimum age being 18
this programme would be on after watershed (9PM) and would be shown on BB3.
Our idea would bring the fundamental concepts of a quiz show and bring the idea
of cheating into its format. The set up of Cheat Box would build tension as we get
to know our teams as friends, to then give them the option of betraying them.
We would have a dynamic host and a cast made up of 2 groups of friends; while
our audience gets involved by having power over the questions as contestants
face three different rounds. They work together as a team, through the lifeline and
catch them rounds, before the highest scoring team plays the final: sabotage. In
Life Line they work as individuals to earn points for their team; then in Catch them
hey have to work as a team to find the cheating player. Once in the final they can
either win together or one can take the glory for themselves. The players answer
questions, the saboteur will have to decide if they are going to purposefully answer
wrong or not, if they loose then they have to decide who is the saboteur.
