1. Bacson-Hoabinh Culture<br />The culture of Bacson-Hoabinh starts from 10.000 BC – 4000 BC. At the beginning, the people of Bacson-Hoabinh only use pieces of rocks to make simple pottery, but in the year of 600 BC, they use stone to form axes, which were used to cut things. The culture of Bacson-Hoabinh was used since 1920s to show the places where they make things using rocks by cutting it. In Indonesia, materials from Bacson-Hoabinh culture can be found in Sumatra, Jawa (lembah Sungai Bengawan Solo), Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi until Papua (Irian Jaya). In Sumatera the place is in Lhokseumawe and Medan.<br />The results of Bacson-Hoabinh culture<br />1. Hand axe<br />Hand axe was found inside Bukit Kerang and it is called pebble or Kapak Sumatera (Sumatralith) according to the place where they found it. The shape of pebble is almost perfect and smooth. Materials to make these axes were from pieces of river rocks.<br />2. Axe made from Horns and Bones<br />Around the area of Nganding and Sidorejo near Ngawi, Madiun (Jawa Timur) hand axe were found and tools made from horns and bones. There were some handmade daggers and spears made from horns and bones. The functions of that equipment are to catch fishes, to open ubi.<br />3. Flakes<br />Flakes are small things made from stone called flakes. Besides made from flakes stone, Flakes also made from a beautiful rocks called calsedon.<br />Dongson Culture<br />The Dong Son culture is a Bronze age culture including all of Southeast Asia and into the Indo-Malaya Archipelago from about 1000 to 1 BC. Centered on the Red River Valley of Vietnam, the Dong Son were sophisticated agriculturalists, raising rice and buffalo. Dong Son probably occurs from local Neolithic cultures, such as Phung Nguyen and Dong Dau phases. Dong Son is identified with the Van Lang ruling dynasty, the first ruling dynasty of Vietnam. By the second century BC, impacts from the Han Dynasty in China were being felt and according to historic records, the Dong Son was absorbed into the Han Dynasty territory.<br />Indian Civilization<br />
