2. The details of Journey are as follows:-
We started traveling from VAMNICOM Pune to Khopoli at 8:30AM on 22th
Dec’16.
At 10:45 AM we reached at PARLE PVT. LTD Khopoli.
We started traveling from Khopoli to Gujarat Anand at 1:00 pm on 22 the Dec’16
At 1:45 AM we reached at NDDB hostel Anand Gujarat on 23 rd Dec’ 16
At 9 AM we visited the NDDB Anand on 23 the Dec’16
At 11:30 AM we visited IRMA Anand
At 3:50 PM we visited the AMUL dairy An and on 23 rd Dec’16
We started traveling from Anand to Ahmedabad at 9:50 AM on 24 the Dec’16
3. At 12:30 PM we reached at Science city Ahmadabad
We started traveling from Science city to Sabarmati Ashram at 3 PM
At 3:30 PM we reached at Sabarmati Ashram.
We started traveling from Sabarmati ashram to Akshardham at 5:40 PM
At 6:45 we reached at Akshardham
We started traveling from Akshardham to Anand at 8:30 PM on 24 th
Dec’16.
At 12:30 AM we reached at NDDB hostel Anand on 25 Dec’16
We return on 26th Dec’16 at VAMNICOM Pune at 1:00 AM
5. PARLE KHOPOLI PROFILE
Established in 2007
Mother plant of parle
There are separate Biscuits and Confectionery
department
They are having 750-800 manpower
There are 11 types of parle variety products preparing
at khopoli plant

6. What we Saw in Parle, Khopoli
Initially we were shown a half an hour long promotional
film of Parle. The theme of the film was that of two kids
who in their dreams are taken into the Parle World.
After that we were shown the processes involved in
manufacture of Parle-G biscuits
The entire process involved in making of the Parle biscuits
and confectionaries were shown in the film. After the
screening were taken to the shop floor, where the actual
process was shown.
The capacity of production line is around 1 tonne/day.
There were two production lines for Parle G alone. The
factory also had similar setup for its other brands – Milano
and Hide and Seek.

Concentrate on the consumers taste and preferences,The Parle
brand has grown from strength to
strengthever since its inception.

Parle is largest selling biscuits .
It is best in its quality.
It has reasonable price .
For all these Parle took no. 1 brand place in the world

NDDB was established in 1965(through an act
of parliament at Anand).
It is for providing facilities for increasing the
production & marketing of milk and promotion
of dairy industry in the country.

oThe NDDB is an institution of national importance
set up by an Act of Parliament of India. The main
office is located in Anand, Gujarat with regional
offices throughout the country.
oNDDB's subsidiaries include Mother Dairy, Delhi.

The major success of this mission was achieved through
the World Bank financed Operation Flood, which lasted for 26
years from 1970 to 1996 and was responsible for making India
the world's largest producer's of milk. This operation was started
with the objective of increasing milk production, farmer income
and providing fair prices for consumers.
17. It was founded by Dr. Varghese Kurien and
Dr. Amrita Patel is the current Chairman of the
National Dairy Development Board, Anand.

NDDB has now integrated 96,000 dairy co-operatives in what
it calls the Anand Pattern , linking the village society to the
state federations in a three-tier structure.
22. AMUL
• AMUL is an Indian dairy cooperative, based at
Anand in the state of Gujarat, India.
• It was formed in 1946, it is a brand managed by a
cooperative body, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk
Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF).
• It is jointly owned by 3.6 million milk producers in
Gujarat.
23. • Kaira District Milk Union Limited was founded in
1946.
• Tribhuvandas became the founding chairman of the
organization which he led till his last day of his life.
He hired Dr. Kurien three years after the white
revolution.
• He convinced Dr.Kurien to stay and help with the
mission rest was history in the dairying industry.
24. • Amul spurred India's White Revolution, which
made the country the world's largest producer of
milk and milk products.
• In the process Amul became the largest food brand
in India and has ventured into markets overseas.
• Dr Verghese Kurien, founder-chairman of the
GCMMF for more than 30 years (1973–2006), is
credited with the success of Amul.
29. AMUL PLANT VISIT
• We went to the AMUL plant where we learnt about
its history and the products that are manufactured.
• Afterwards, we watched its movie. It narrated how
the name ‘AMUL’ came up, how it was commenced
and also about Dr. Verghese Kurien.
• Post – movie, we were taken to the manufacturing
plant where we witnessed the machines used in
manufacturing the products.

The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA)
established in 1979 by the father of white revolution Dr
Verghese Kurien, is a pioneering academic institution in rural
management education and research.
To promote sustainable, ecologically-friendly, and equitable
socio-economic development of rural people through

o ABOUT IRMA
32. WHAT WE OBSERVED AND LEARN IN IRMA
Faculty member of IRMA also shown whole campus and
explained about speciality of iconic structure of the
Institute .
33. COURSES OFFERED IN IRMA
Postgraduate Programme in Rural
Management (PRM), launched in 1980.
Doctoral Level Fellow Programme in Rural
Management (FPRM), launched in 2002.
Management Development Programmes (MDPs) are
meant for middle and senior level in-service
managers and officers of the union government, state
governments, NGOs, and cooperatives working in
the area of rural development.
34. Ravi J Matthai Library:
The library has a highly selective collection of 41,845
books,165 print journals and 15,000 plus e-journals
available in full-text and 4 online databases in the area of
management and related subjects.

35. VISIT OF VILLAGE IN KHEDA DISTRICT
One of the member Development deportment in
NDDB explained about how milk co-operatives
works and he also taken us to Bedwa village which is
near by NDDB. Their we had seen lively how milk
co-operatives works, how to calculate fat content by
using Digital Lactometer.
38. o CONCLUSION
Through this visit, we gained information and practical
knowledge about Various manufacturing process of the different
milk products and parle product, and gained information about
NDDB and IRMA and their work we also become aware about
safety procedure to be followed during the manufacturing process
of milk product.
We were also known about how to get more productivity
with the available resources. we all benefitted from this
visit as they got chance to discuss with different expert.
