I have o agree to all of these strengths ISTJ has because I can relate to all of them. There is a
weakness which I agree too as well. There's stubbornness, insensitive, judgmental and blaming
themselves. I do believe these are some of my weakness I have. I found out about ISTJ that they are

The Keirsey Temperament Sorter–II is an instrument to determine an individual's personality traits.
Each of us has different personalities. Those personalities that we acquired through our parents,
guardians or that we learned ourselves. To understand another individual, we have to understand
ourselves first. The Keirsey Temperament Sorter–II provides a better understanding for each
temperament or characteristic of a person and how an individual interacts with other personality
types. Having this tool can help an individual to make a better choice in life, especially in a
workplace where there are so many types of diverse groups.
Personality Type Each of us has different personalities. Beginning as an infant, all of us have no idea
who or what kind an individual we are. All of us see the world through the eyes of our very own
parents, guardians or other adults who tried to show and teach us what the world is all about. Those
individuals show us their ideas of what truly are right and wrong, or what is the good and bad.
However, as we grow, our peers have much influence over how we define ourselves. There could be
times; an individual would desire to fit in and belong to be like others. Likewise, in the society we
belong to, each of us has tried to learn and take in all of our experiences, and relationships with
other people. For this reason, Keirsey Temperament Sorter II (KTS–II) is the best tool to use to
describe an individual's personality.

Myer-Briggs Test
After taking the Myer–Briggs Type Indicator test, I have discovered that I have the ISTJ, The
Logistician, personality type. First, as with other personality types, there are many strengths and
weaknesses of having the ISTJ personality. ISTJs write best when using facts and data and struggle
when developing personal thoughts and opinions. When looking over my previous essays, I noticed
the best ones are either research papers or essays involving little commentary on the subject.
Therefore, the test is right in that my best works are written concretely. Next, ISTJs can write close
to the deadline of an assignment. This is true because I write best when I have the pressure of the
assignment being due soon; thus, I come up with fake deadlines

Myers Briggs Personality Traits
This paper will delineate the specifics of the ISTJ personality and analyze my personality type.
Understanding that different people handle situations differently, this paper will discuss personal
development mechanisms I must consider in my daily interaction with others. Specifically, this
paper will discuss relevant personality strengths and considerations for me to develop and improve
weaker areas in order to better serve other personality types. This paper will also examine aspects of
my organizational behavior and a self–assessment to become a better coworker. Of the 16 types of
Meyers–Briggs personality types, I scored as an ISTJ, which is consistent with a Meyers–Briggs
Type Indicator test conducted in early 2013. To become a better coworker, manager and
organizational leader, I must strengthen my organizational behaviors and beliefs to develop a greater

ISTJ individuals, or "traditionalists," are honest, direct, decisive, efficient, dedicated, responsible,
strong–willed, reliable, committed, and trustworthy.1 As ISTJ's are very strong–willed and

in a rather serious and cautious manner.2 While others live life impulsively and recklessly, someone
who is deliberate will, "...identify the dangers, weigh their relative impact, and then place your feet

According to the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test, I am considered an ISTJ. I have a preference
of introversion over extraversion, sensing over intuition, thinking over feeling and judging over
perceiving. All of my preferences were considered "moderate". ISTJs are initially considered
unapproachable and are not overly quick to offer up their thoughts. Efficiency is an integral part of
the ISTJ personality and a lack of consistency can easily anger an ISTJ. The "Introverted Sensing"
aspect concerns specifics. People that possess this quality typically hold everything to a clear
standard. ISTJs have introverted feelings and do not typically express their thoughts. Warmth is not

They struggle to see past certain things and, as a result, they often find it hard to trust others. They
are also incredibly moralistic and have a strong sense of right and wrong. This contributes to some

ISTJ So what is an ISTJ and who am I? As described above, I am a quiet and reserved individual
who uses experience to make analytical decisions, but only after a lot of thought and analyzing! In
the workplace, I keep to myself for the most part and do not do a lot of conversing with management
that does not pertain to work. Most of my recent professional life has been leadership roles, so
having someone working under me has been common for many years. In the workplace, I feel like I
get along better with them. I feel that I can interact amongst the employees on the floor and be
myself more than what I can with the guys dressed in suits. My positions are usually one of a

management. Some people seem to get their bonus points by congregating with managers in their

it. I hired friends to work as assistant managers under me for a period of time and saw my store

Purpose The Keirsey Temperament Sorter Test and others like it, such as the Myers–Briggs Test, are
meant to measure types and aspects of one's personality based on a series of opinionated questions.
These sorts of tests are meant to show individuals what their personality types are, as well as the
careers that would fit their personality types the best. Developed by Dr. David Keirsey, the test sorts
participant into four major groups based on their personality results: artisans, guardians, rationals,
and idealists. These groups are then narrowed down into narrower categories based on the Myers–
Briggs system results for separate personality types. These results are meant to reveal a person's true
character and temperament. The Keirsey Test is greatly based on human behavior, so it is essentially
measuring the daily behaviors of participants and sorting them into different personality types, or
temperaments. The test also helps to evaluate a person's character through the opinionated questions
within the test. The opinionated approach of the test makes it a decent measure of a person's
character, but only if the participant is fully open and honest about his true self within the test, rather
than being the person that they wish to be when answering the questions. Many have reported
findings that these personality tests have low validity in their results (Dakin et al., 1994). Because so

Personality test can offer a great deal of insight to someone. After taking the Myers Brigs test, I have
confirmed much of what I have thought about myself. My score is ISTJ. This stands for
introversion, sensing, thinking, and judging, which very accurately describes me. While it can be

There have been plenty of times in the recent past that I have acted "out–of–type". One example of
this is last weekend, when I went out with a big group, instead of only hanging out with only my
close friends. This is not typical behavior for an introvert. Although this is not something I would
typically find enjoyable, I had a surprisingly good time. Another occurrence of my acting "out–of–

Within this temperament there are four subcategories which are associated to the Myers–Briggs type
indicators; Supervisors (ESTJ), Inspectors (ISTJ), Provider (ESFJ), and Protector (ISFJ). Each
subcategory that represents the Guardian temperament has a strong conviction of probability and
structure in common. They tend to feel accomplished when they get things accomplished and

A test that I recently took includes the Myer's Briggs Personality Test which categorizes an
individual as either being an introvert or extrovert, an intuitive or sensitive person, a person who
feels or thinks, and someone who perceives or judges. After answering a series of questions, it was
possible to conclude which categories I ranked the highest in. My results signified that I am an
introvert who is sensitive and likes to think as well as judge, which can be referred to an ISTJ
personality; in simpler terms, my results basically mean I am a responsible, serious and sensible
person in society. These results also convey that my ideas are based off of reality and facts,

alone but this isn't the case for our group, instead our group is very close and we can easily talk to

Personality Based on the personality profile I completed in class my personality type is ISTJ,
Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging. According to various sources on personality types ISTJ's are
often referred to as "Inspectors". I agree with a lot of what I have read about my personality type.
ISTJ's often give the initial impression of being aloof and perhaps somewhat cold. This is perhaps
one of the truest statements about me that I have seen. Many people find me to be cold and

I am not a dreamer and I am very consistent. My score of Moderate in this dimension relates to my
ISTJ personality also. As an ISTJ I'm skeptical of new ideas, and I am more reality based. I tend to
be more practical and focus on my goals instead of being more creative. My average score in the
Agreeableness category explains me very well. My rating would be a Negotiator. I balance my
needs along with the needs of others most of the time. I tend to be tough–minded, and to have a
strong sense of self. I speak my mind most of the time, and I will argue very strongly when I feel
strongly about a topic. However, I do try to be tactful and give others an opportunity to state their
opinions. If it is a topic I am not knowledgeable of or do not feel strongly about I will go along with
the group. This also directly relates to my personality type. As an ISTJ others often view me as
being insensitive in my effort to get my point across. I am known to impose my judgments on
others. ISTJ's are known to share their knowledge with others often to give people advice. At the
same time though I am aware of the fact that I can be very opinionated. I am not able to change
people's minds, although I can try to influence their opinion. As I have gotten older I try to keep this
aspect of my personality in check. I have learned to carefully pick and choose my battles. My

According to the results, my score for the behavior in the JUNG Typology Test is ISTJ which stands
for Introversion, Sensing, Thinking, Judgement. The reasons that this is a satisfaction for me is
because ISTJs we are often called inspectors. It clearly describes my personality for the sense of
right and wrong, especially in the area of interest and/or responsibility (Perceiving with five senses).

The Leadership Style of ISTJ Introduction The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a
personality assessment that was originally developed by the mother–daughter duo, Katharine Cook
Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. After meeting her daughter's future husband for the
first time, Clarence Myers, Katharine got inspired to start researching personality types after she
noticed that although Clarence was a good match for her daughter, he seemed to have viewed the
world differently compared to her and her family. Fast forward to today; through a series of events
and breakthroughs in research, the MBTI is the most trusted personality assessment tool available. It
is taken by millions of men, women, and even children around the world. It has many practical uses,
for example, employers give this assessment to existing employees so that the employee is aware of
their personality traits including strengths and weaknesses in hope of achieving maximum
efficiency. It is also given to potential employees to see if they would be a good fit. What do U.S.
