Qualities Of ISTJ Strengths
My personality type is logistician(ISTJ). Some generally qualities are independent, logical, loyal,
responsible, serious, organized, quiet and a rule follower etc. I found most of these qualities to be
true about myself. I like working alone and think before I act. I need to have the facts before I set
my k da to something. I'm pretty loyal since I keep things to myself and people can rely on me when
they need some assistance. I am kind of quiet when I don't know where I am at or who I'm going to
be dealing with. I don't like to be social and make conversations to others. I stay by myself until
someone comes to me and speaks first. I can be serious at times but I'm a goofball and I like to be
silly and sarcastic. I'm also a tile follower I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have o agree to all of these strengths ISTJ has because I can relate to all of them. There is a
weakness which I agree too as well. There's stubbornness, insensitive, judgmental and blaming
themselves. I do believe these are some of my weakness I have. I found out about ISTJ that they are
given a task they will definitely complete it. They take pride in the work they are accomplishing.
ISTJ look at the facts than rather not thinking and making a fast choice. ISTJ best career fit is a long
term stable career goal. One strong suit is being an investigator like a detective. There's the career of
a coroner and criminalize that are a great fit. I would like to pursue these career since both deals
with working with cadavers. I want to get in a med school to become a medical examiner. It doesn't
matter if I become a coroner, criminologist, pathologist, forensic or medical examiner. I am happy
with one of these since all deal with the dead. Life, in general, is beautiful but after that death seems
like a tragedy filled with grieve. What comes next no one wants to know. I want to open the dead
bodies mad investigate how they died, what they are before they departure, what they did before

The Keirsey Temperament Sorter II
The Keirsey Temperament Sorter–II is an instrument to determine an individual's personality traits.
Each of us has different personalities. Those personalities that we acquired through our parents,
guardians or that we learned ourselves. To understand another individual, we have to understand
ourselves first. The Keirsey Temperament Sorter–II provides a better understanding for each
temperament or characteristic of a person and how an individual interacts with other personality
types. Having this tool can help an individual to make a better choice in life, especially in a
workplace where there are so many types of diverse groups.
Personality Type Each of us has different personalities. Beginning as an infant, all of us have no idea
who or what kind an individual we are. All of us see the world through the eyes of our very own
parents, guardians or other adults who tried to show and teach us what the world is all about. Those
individuals show us their ideas of what truly are right and wrong, or what is the good and bad.
However, as we grow, our peers have much influence over how we define ourselves. There could be
times; an individual would desire to fit in and belong to be like others. Likewise, in the society we
belong to, each of us has tried to learn and take in all of our experiences, and relationships with
other people. For this reason, Keirsey Temperament Sorter II (KTS–II) is the best tool to use to
describe an individual's personality.

Myer-Briggs Test
After taking the Myer–Briggs Type Indicator test, I have discovered that I have the ISTJ, The
Logistician, personality type. First, as with other personality types, there are many strengths and
weaknesses of having the ISTJ personality. ISTJs write best when using facts and data and struggle
when developing personal thoughts and opinions. When looking over my previous essays, I noticed
the best ones are either research papers or essays involving little commentary on the subject.
Therefore, the test is right in that my best works are written concretely. Next, ISTJs can write close
to the deadline of an assignment. This is true because I write best when I have the pressure of the
assignment being due soon; thus, I come up with fake deadlines

Myers Briggs Personality Traits
This paper will delineate the specifics of the ISTJ personality and analyze my personality type.
Understanding that different people handle situations differently, this paper will discuss personal
development mechanisms I must consider in my daily interaction with others. Specifically, this
paper will discuss relevant personality strengths and considerations for me to develop and improve
weaker areas in order to better serve other personality types. This paper will also examine aspects of
my organizational behavior and a self–assessment to become a better coworker. Of the 16 types of
Meyers–Briggs personality types, I scored as an ISTJ, which is consistent with a Meyers–Briggs
Type Indicator test conducted in early 2013. To become a better coworker, manager and
organizational leader, I must strengthen my organizational behaviors and beliefs to develop a greater
worldview perspective (Fisher, 2012). Step 1 Myers–Briggs Personality Type Kroeger, Thuesen, and
Rutledge (2002) noted "...the key to managing others effectively is to manage yourself first" (p. 14).
This statement signifies that one must understand their personality strengthens and recognize
weaknesses to grow into a more effective manager of programs and people. Introverted. Introverts
enjoy privacy, peace, and quiet. Introverted types can rehearse interactions before executing them
and delay decisions to ponder the data gathered (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, 2002). They favor

ISTJ individuals, or "traditionalists," are honest, direct, decisive, efficient, dedicated, responsible,
strong–willed, reliable, committed, and trustworthy.1 As ISTJ's are very strong–willed and
dedicated, Jung's test describes them as "doers." 1 ISTJ's are very competitive and always pushing
themselves to improve and succeed. 1 I was not surprised by outcome of being labeled as an ISTJ.
My results did produce what I anticipated in terms of characteristics and even in terms of career
paths. The career paths of an ISTJ are listed as those in law or government, i.e. military personnel,
judges, teachers, accountants, detectives, doctors, etc. 1 Though my career path of an interior
designer was not listed for an ISTJ, I am not surprised. Interior ... Show more content on

According to StrengthsQuest the strength of being deliberative hints at a person who approaches life
in a rather serious and cautious manner.2 While others live life impulsively and recklessly, someone
who is deliberate will, "...identify the dangers, weigh their relative impact, and then place your feet
deliberately."2 Next, someone who is analytical wants to identify a sound, logical, and careful
theory before creating an plan. 2 Those with the characteristic of futuristic are dreamers and often,
"...conjure up visions of the future and they energize you." 2 Relators, per StrengthsQuest, may be
hesitant to meet new people or create new relationships, but once a relator has made a connection,
they encourage the connection to expand. 2 Lastly, an individual with the strength of competition is
automatically aware of the performance of those around them.2 StrengthsQuest defines competition

Istj Personality
According to the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test, I am considered an ISTJ. I have a preference
of introversion over extraversion, sensing over intuition, thinking over feeling and judging over
perceiving. All of my preferences were considered "moderate". ISTJs are initially considered
unapproachable and are not overly quick to offer up their thoughts. Efficiency is an integral part of
the ISTJ personality and a lack of consistency can easily anger an ISTJ. The "Introverted Sensing"
aspect concerns specifics. People that possess this quality typically hold everything to a clear
standard. ISTJs have introverted feelings and do not typically express their thoughts. Warmth is not
often exuded by ISTJs. Their feelings are expressed unlike most people and are most often observed
nonverbally. To know what an ISTJ is thinking, one must closely observe their facial expressions.
Socialization is never ideal for an ISTJ and does not come easily for them. It is done in a ... Show

They struggle to see past certain things and, as a result, they often find it hard to trust others. They
are also incredibly moralistic and have a strong sense of right and wrong. This contributes to some
of the stereotyping they struggle with. ISTJs often find themselves in careers that involve planning,
efficiency and quite a bit of responsibility. Examples of career types for ISTJs include military and
police officers, engineers, lawyers and surgeons. I find it fitting that engineering was found on the
list of potential careers for an ISTJ. This survey did a great job of nailing down my personality. I
tend to keep to myself and enjoy moments of silence. My strengths are in fact my punctuality and
my ability to work quickly and effectively. It takes a while for people to gain my trust enough for
me to open up to them and I suppose that would be considered a weakness of mine. I do struggle
with stereotyping as mentioned in the description of an

meting out justice.
An Overview of the Other Three Temperaments
Artisans are the temperament with a natural ability to excel in any of the arts –– not only the fine
arts such as painting and sculpting, or the performing arts such as music, theater, and dance, but also
the athletic, military, political, mechanical, and industrial arts, as well as the "art of the deal" in
business.
Idealists, as a temperament, are passionately concerned with personal growth and development.
Idealists strive to discover who they are and how they can become their best possible self –– always
this quest for self–knowledge and self–improvement drives their imagination. They want to help
others make the journey as well. Idealists are naturally drawn to working with people, and whether
in education or counseling, in social services or personnel work, in journalism or the ministry, they
are gifted at helping others find their way in life, often inspiring them to grow as individuals and to
fulfill their potentials.
Rationals are the problem solving temperament, particularly if the problem has to do with the

ISTJ So what is an ISTJ and who am I? As described above, I am a quiet and reserved individual
who uses experience to make analytical decisions, but only after a lot of thought and analyzing! In
the workplace, I keep to myself for the most part and do not do a lot of conversing with management
that does not pertain to work. Most of my recent professional life has been leadership roles, so
having someone working under me has been common for many years. In the workplace, I feel like I
get along better with them. I feel that I can interact amongst the employees on the floor and be
myself more than what I can with the guys dressed in suits. My positions are usually one of a
supervisor or department manager, so I am a liaison between the entry level employees and upper
management. Some people seem to get their bonus points by congregating with managers in their
offices, but I'm more comfortable amongst the hourly workers that get the work completed.
Obviously, I can communicate with upper management, but keep it strictly professional with them. I
keep work relationships minimal because I have been burned by them before and have learned from
it. I hired friends to work as assistant managers under me for a period of time and saw my store
begin to decline. I understood then that I could not have close friends in important positions under
me because the inability to separate work from social life, and discipline and be taken serious, were
too difficult at the time. Outside of work,

Personality Test Strength
The personality test reveals that my "primary mode of living is focused internally" (BSM
Consulting, Inc., n.d.) and that I see thing via the "five senses in a literal, and concrete fashion."
(BSM Consulting, Inc., n.d.). This internal focus tends to have me be labeled as quiet or reserved but
this internal world of thinking and reflection is a fertile place for ideas where I can plan and
organize tasks. Being "organized and methodical," (BSM Consulting, Inc., n.d.) ISTJ's "can
generally succeed at any task which they undertake" (BSM Consulting, Inc., n.d.) although the area
that can undermine this is my lack of self–confidence. This type "can be depended upon to follow

something that my wife says because if something is too general, I tend to overthink the scenario
because there is a lack of specificity. The personality test showed something interesting in that I

The Purpose Of The Keirsey Temperament Sorter Test
Purpose The Keirsey Temperament Sorter Test and others like it, such as the Myers–Briggs Test, are
meant to measure types and aspects of one's personality based on a series of opinionated questions.
These sorts of tests are meant to show individuals what their personality types are, as well as the
careers that would fit their personality types the best. Developed by Dr. David Keirsey, the test sorts
participant into four major groups based on their personality results: artisans, guardians, rationals,
and idealists. These groups are then narrowed down into narrower categories based on the Myers–
Briggs system results for separate personality types. These results are meant to reveal a person's true
character and temperament. The Keirsey Test is greatly based on human behavior, so it is essentially
measuring the daily behaviors of participants and sorting them into different personality types, or
temperaments. The test also helps to evaluate a person's character through the opinionated questions
within the test. The opinionated approach of the test makes it a decent measure of a person's
character, but only if the participant is fully open and honest about his true self within the test, rather
than being the person that they wish to be when answering the questions. Many have reported
findings that these personality tests have low validity in their results (Dakin et al., 1994). Because so
much accountability on the participants' end is required for this test, the integrity

Personality test can offer a great deal of insight to someone. After taking the Myers Brigs test, I have
confirmed much of what I have thought about myself. My score is ISTJ. This stands for
introversion, sensing, thinking, and judging, which very accurately describes me. While it can be
challenging for personality test to fully understand someone with just a few questions, this Myers
Brigs test described me very well. I very strongly agree with the results I have received. The first
letter of my score is I, which stands for introversion. I have always been more of an introvert than an
extrovert. Alone time is something I have always had an appreciation for and felt was necessary for
my happiness. The next letter in my type stands for sensing. This means I heavily rely on my five
senses to take in information. The aspect of me can be seen in the way I learn. I feel I learn best
when doing hands–on activities, which is consistent with sensing people. The third letter in my type
is T, which represents thinking. Like the other personally traits from this test, this one accurately
describes me. Thinking people prefer solid logic, and facts. I have always ... Show more content on

this is last weekend, when I went out with a big group, instead of only hanging out with only my

What Type Of Istj Personality
People with the personality of ISTJ are often people who are looked up to and known to be
trustworthy. These type of people are very factual based and like to stick straight to the point. This is
why they are known for being very efficient workers, when a plan is laid out for them and instructs
them of which tasks need to be done in order to complete it is when they get the most work done.
Someone with this personality would be one that does not give that much personal information out
to people they don't know really well and won't show too many emotions. Having an ISTJ
personality can be both good and bad when working on group projects. Seeing as this type of person
doesn't like to share too much, a lot of information that they might come

The Four Temperaments Of The Keirsey Sorter
Describe the four temperaments of the Keirsey Sorter
The Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS) is a self–assessed questionnaire that is intended to help
people understand the personality of others and themselves. Embracing the ideas of ancient Greeks,
Keirsey developed the Temperament Sorter. He was intrigued by the work Kretschmer and Sheldon
in the late 1940s, which comprised of the study of the human physique and criminality (Kretschmer,
1970). Finally, Keirsey was introduced to the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) in the late 50's
and developed the modern temperament sorter, known at the Keirsey Temperament Sorter (Keirsey,
1994). The KTS and MBTI are closely associated as two personality questionnaires but Myers types

Within this temperament there are four subcategories which are associated to the Myers–Briggs type
indicators; Supervisors (ESTJ), Inspectors (ISTJ), Provider (ESFJ), and Protector (ISFJ). Each
subcategory that represents the Guardian temperament has a strong conviction of probability and
structure in common. They tend to feel accomplished when they get things accomplished and
meeting expectations of others.
The second temperament is the Artisan. Artisans are creative, optimistic and spontaneous. They are
adventurous and seek all kinds of stimulation. Within this temperament there are four subcategories
which are associated to the Myers–Briggs type indicators; Promoter (ESTP), Crafter (ISTP),
Performer (ESFP), and Composure (ISFP). This temperament is confident and inspirational, they
love to entertain and charming.
The third temperament is the Idealist. This temperament strives in personal growth and
development. They are enthusiastic and want meaningful relationships. Within this temperament
there are four subcategories which are associated to the Myers–Briggs type indicators; Teacher
(ENFJ), Counselor (INFJ), Champion (ENFP), and Healer (INFP). The Idealist is an individualist
with personal genuineness that has a keen sense of the emotions and sentiment around them.

A test that I recently took includes the Myer's Briggs Personality Test which categorizes an
individual as either being an introvert or extrovert, an intuitive or sensitive person, a person who
feels or thinks, and someone who perceives or judges. After answering a series of questions, it was
possible to conclude which categories I ranked the highest in. My results signified that I am an
introvert who is sensitive and likes to think as well as judge, which can be referred to an ISTJ
personality; in simpler terms, my results basically mean I am a responsible, serious and sensible
person in society. These results also convey that my ideas are based off of reality and facts,
indicating that I possess a methodical personality pertaining to accuracy.

Personality Types: Miranda And Adrene
Our group is comprised of three different types of personalities, Miranda and Adrene are ISFJ, Doug

working each other not only easier but more effective. First I will start by discussing personality
types of my team member's and then I will relate them to my own type and the challenges we face
working as a team.
First I will start with the ISFJ, the type that the girls of our group are. This type is described as being
quiet and caring people. They are also said to be dependent on helping others. I can see this in both
Miranda and Adrene as they both are caring people and they tend to look at Doug and myself for

challenges that our group faces. I find that since our group is made up of so many different types we
complement each other and thus make work easy. The best way to show that our group compliments
each other is that Doug and my thinking type compliments Miranda's and Adrene's feeling type. I
say this because of Doug and I having more of a leadership role in the group our thinking type is
supported by the girls feeling type and thus we never have conflict when it comes to making

Personality Based on the personality profile I completed in class my personality type is ISTJ,
Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging. According to various sources on personality types ISTJ's are
often referred to as "Inspectors". I agree with a lot of what I have read about my personality type.
ISTJ's often give the initial impression of being aloof and perhaps somewhat cold. This is perhaps
one of the truest statements about me that I have seen. Many people find me to be cold and
standoffish if not conceited and stuck–up. I prefer spending time alone, or with a few close people
rather than go to parties, bars, or clubs. Very often when I go to the mall or other chaotic places I am

I am not a dreamer and I am very consistent. My score of Moderate in this dimension relates to my
ISTJ personality also. As an ISTJ I'm skeptical of new ideas, and I am more reality based. I tend to
be more practical and focus on my goals instead of being more creative. My average score in the
Agreeableness category explains me very well. My rating would be a Negotiator. I balance my
needs along with the needs of others most of the time. I tend to be tough–minded, and to have a
strong sense of self. I speak my mind most of the time, and I will argue very strongly when I feel
strongly about a topic. However, I do try to be tactful and give others an opportunity to state their
opinions. If it is a topic I am not knowledgeable of or do not feel strongly about I will go along with
the group. This also directly relates to my personality type. As an ISTJ others often view me as
being insensitive in my effort to get my point across. I am known to impose my judgments on
others. ISTJ's are known to share their knowledge with others often to give people advice. At the
same time though I am aware of the fact that I can be very opinionated. I am not able to change
people's minds, although I can try to influence their opinion. As I have gotten older I try to keep this
aspect of my personality in check. I have learned to carefully pick and choose my battles. My

Behavior In The JUNG Typology Test
According to the results, my score for the behavior in the JUNG Typology Test is ISTJ which stands

because ISTJs we are often called inspectors. It clearly describes my personality for the sense of

I am noted for devotion to duty and punctuality is a watchword of the ISTJ. Another behavior to use

Likewise, both behaviors tend to accessing information and pull it out the head in the same way, in
large pieces with some of the details wanting. The ENFP is caring, creative, quick and impulsive,

a totally unique and fresh perspective to people and situations. People–centered, fresh and
spontaneous, they will embrace things with energy and enthusiasm but may not follow through or
get into detail as their focus is on 'what's next. Totally opposite to the ISJT where we are more
introverted and quiet. Overall the reason I selected or score this behavior is because clearly define
me in all the aspects; my primary mode of living is focused internally, where all my five senses are
in use for a concrete fashion. The secondary mode is external, as I deal with things rationally and

Learning Styles And How It Affects My Life As A Student

affects me because I am organized as a student and show strong suits with things like math. An
example from my life is that I am confident with some work and the things that make the most sense
to me. During math, I am confident because I get better grades and it makes more sense to me. On

Leadership Style Assessment
According to Kent assessment leadership tool, I am a transformational leader. This type of leader
collaborate, encourage and motivate their team members using charisma (University of Kent, n.d).
Transformational leadership style is very meaningful to me because I have the trust and confidence
of people that allow me to influence them to adopt change. Transformational leadership has been
linked to effective leader, with higher job productivity and satisfaction rates, and stronger
motivation skills (Brandt, & Edinger, 2015). Transformational leadership style describe me. I

My Personality Test
Cambridge Dictionary defines personality as "the special combination of qualities in a person that
makes that person different from others, as shown by the way the person behaves, feels, and thinks".
There are many tests out there that will help you piece together what personality type you have, one
of which I have taken recently. The personality test that I took on My Personality Test .com told me
I am an ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging) personality type. The main
characteristics associated with this personality type are that ISTJs are honest and direct, efficient and
systematic, dedicated and responsible, strong– willed and decisive, organized and reliable,

Jude or small things like picking trash up off the ground. Due to these qualities, ISTJs are viewed as
reliable, trustworthy, honest, and likeable (My Personality Test). These are all the good qualities
associated with this personality type that are true for myself but there are some qualities that can be
considered weaknesses. Our weaknesses are that we always stick to our own beliefs/values and trust
our judgement above that of others (sometimes even if we are wrong) which can make us inflexible
or stubborn sometimes (My Personality Test). Sometimes, if I think I am right, I will defend my
answer or solution (even if I am actually wrong) to the point where I know I am wrong, but I just do
not want to admit it. We may be unaccepting or judgmental sometimes toward other people due to
differing values (My Personality Test). ITSJs try to find other people who share our interests and/or
try to get them to see things our way (My Personality Test). Because we like to deal mostly with
reason and logic, processing emotions may be difficult (expressing ours and understanding others)
(My Personality Test). ITSJs like routine and structure in our daily life which may make dealing
with or getting used to new/unusual situations challenging or troublesome (My Personality Test).
Tradition is important to us and changing it can be discomforting and is one reason why using a

Istj Case Study
After taking the survey I learned that I was an Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging or ISTJ. ISTJ's
are known for keeping the rules and not liking things that have unclear rules. They also hate when
things or people have inconsistencies, or when people do not keep up their end of an agreement.
They love being apart of organized groups such as government, schools, the military, and churches
because they all have a set way of doing things and do not sway in their beliefs. Their social skills
are excellent because they are precise and to–the–point. Feelings are something that ISTJ's have a
hard time discussing, because feelings are random and out of their control. When ISTJ's are learning

ESTJ's also have an acute awareness for convention, encourage work ethic and are opinionated,

I believe they were mostly accurate, especially the Meyers–Briggs type Indicator. I have always

distant and aloof. I have learned to cope with this and took positive steps to combat this tendency.
Before becoming a police officer, I took a job as a salesperson because I knew I would have to learn
how to talk to people. While still naturally quiet and reserved, I can switch to more of an extrovert
when the need arises. After researching further the traits of an ISTJ I found the decryptions to be

Isabel Briggs Personality
Personality tests serve as effective facilitators to learning about the features of an employee and
potential benefits and drawbacks that he or she may encounter at a given position. Legitimacy of the
social media "which character are you?" personality assessments is questionable, because they do
not provide credentials for their authors, statistical tools implemented, and no connection can be
traced between the types of questions and the results of the test. However, such tests as the one
based on the Carl Jung's and Isabel Briggs Myers' typology suggest a profound background for
considering them valid. As such, after completing this type of personality test, I received the same
results as in the official Myers–Briggs Personality assessment, which it was not. So, my personality
type is ISTJ, which interprets as "Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging" based on the available
non–official ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, I expected the results would be at least not greatly deviating from the ISTJ that I have
learned about myself. Being rather determined about rights and wrongs, I was often told that I give
the first impression of being "aloof and perhaps somewhat cold" (ISTJ, 2016). I agree with many of
the characteristics given in personality tests, but some portion of the information in such
assessments with explanation can be left to a chance. In this respect, I would not advise using
personality tests for hiring purposes, because a person considered creative and easygoing, such as
extraverted types, might appear too emotional and lacking the sense of hierarchy. Primarily, the test
can be used to facilitate further development of the team member in a new place and evaluate the
potential for assignment or promotion, using both self–report personality inventories and projective
tests to ensure conscious and unconscious aspects of personality are

I Am An Istj Personality
According to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I am an ISTJ personality this means that I
am an Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging person. ISTJ are very faithful, loyal and
dependable. We are also reserved people who are interested in a secure and quiet life. ISTJ's place
importance in being honesty and can be trusted to do the right thing for their families and friends.
There are some weaknesses to being an ISTJ personality we are stubborn, insensitive, and
judgmental. This test is amazing it really nailed my personality. The MTBI is helping me understand
my personality by actually pointing out my strengths and weaknesses. It has given me a chance to
understand my strengths and build them up even more. Also, now that I understand the reason for
my weaknesses, I can attempt to work on them, and become a stronger person. The MBTI helps me
to understand my team; it helps me identify their strengths and weaknesses just like mine. It also
helps me to avoid major conflicts by understanding why they do the things they do. Also to
understand what might be a strength to me could be a weakness to them, and that everyone is
different. There are four different types of personalities in my group: ESTJ, who is efficient,
outgoing, analytical, systematic, and dependable. INFJ, who is Idealistic, organized, insightful,
dependable, compassionate, and gentle. Also, an INTJ who is Innovative, independent, strategic,

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator
The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test was developed by Katherine Briggs and her daughter
Isabel Myers in the early 20th century. Their dedication to developing this test was inspired by the
work of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung who introduced the theory of psychological types. The
personality test taken, identified me as an ISTJ with the temperament of SJ. The results of this test
will be explained by analyzing to some degree what makes me preferential to some type traits over
others and how it has defined many of my choices and decision making. My ISTJ typology
assessment will also include information based on my professional experience to support where I
had been both efficient and inefficient and how it could potentially affect particular assignments or
coworkers. I will also explain how MBTI influences the workplace with similarities and differences
between individuals, noting that some personality types are better suited to certain careers and how
workforce diversity also applies to MBTI. The parallel between the biblical covenant and
organization behavior will also be explained with their likeness.

ISTJ Character Analysis
According to my test result, ISTJ, I am a person who values loyalty, tradition, factual information,
and structure. As an ISTJ, I am hardworking, logical, extremely observant and a natural leader. My
strengths as a Duty Fulfiller include being a good listener and spender, the ability to digest
constructive criticism, to endure conflict without "emotional upheaval," and to allocate punishment
when necessary. Because of this, I can achieve almost any goal I set for myself. How reassuring! On
the opposite end of the spectrum, ISTJs typically are not comfortable with expressing emotion to
others and are not naturally in tune with other people's feelings. We also dislike change, abstract
theory, and nonsensical work. I cannot agree with my supposed lack of ability to sense other
people's feeling, in fact, I find this to be contrary to one of the other ISTJ traits, the trait of being
"extremely observant." I also think everyone has little patience for nonsensical work. My
weaknesses include a propensity to think I am always right (which I am) and a tendency to not show
enough appreciation for my loved ones. The later has been made abundantly clear throughout my
life; my mother used to berate me for not adequately praising her ... Show more content on

Organizational Behavior ( Ob )
Organizational behavior (OB) is the study of how people interact within groups and can be used to
achieve a covenant relationship within organizations similar to the relationship that God has with
His people. Personalities have a significant role in OB and personality tests create value by allowing
organizations to determine ahead of time where potential conflict may arise between employees.
The Jung Typology Test classifies people into one of the sixteen personality types determined by
Isabel Briggs Myers and one of the four temperaments defined by David Keirsey. This discussion
examines the effect of my ISTJ personality type and SJ temperament on myself and those around me
on a personal and professional level. The analysis covers the strengths, weaknesses, and sources of
conflict associated with each individual aspect of the ISTJ personality–introverted, sensing,
thinking, and judging–as well as assessing the personality type as a whole. Lastly, the discussion
concludes with lessons I have learned regarding the use of OB in workplace improvement efforts, as
well as specific areas where I can use OB to enhance my performance as an employee, co–worker,
and manager.

Guardians are seen as the cornerstones of society. Belonging is important to them. They do the

good description of me, I tend to put others ahead of myself and at the end of an event one can more
than likely find me cleaning up after others or doing whatever nobody else will do. I have a need to
know and be liked by others. I try hard not to step on others toes and try to participate in as many
activities as possible to feel useful and to get to know others. My ISTJ personality as a whole is
summed up as being open and natural in conversation but precise and to the point. ISTJs are
sticklers for the rules, not very good at emotional communications, people who values step by step
approaches and likes making the tough calls. I see this as a fairly accurate representation of myself. I
think I am pretty good at carrying on a conversation with only a small amount of awkwardness. At
first, I didn't see myself as a precise and to the point person, but the more I thought about it the more
I realized it was true. I am a very goal oriented person, when conversation strays, I try to redirector
it back to the topic I was originally trying to discuss. I am one of those people that operates best
when things are specifically laid out step by step for them, especially on things like homework
assignments. I am a huge stickler for the rules, I am not good at breaking them. It makes me nervous

In the wonders of life we are often faced with determining our strengths and weaknesses, evidently
this determines our personality, what careers we should choose. We are always labeled by our

thoughts in mind, I would like to introduce you to Amari, a rather unique individual. Amari was
convinced to take a personality test... "You will discover your destiny," they proclaimed... "This
information will change your life," they decreed. "Yeah right" Amari muttered as she rolled her eyes.

questions would soon be answered. Amari leisurely picked up her pencil to start her test. She filled

packet and found out about what they say is her "so called" personality. The packet stated, "As an

who are interested in security and peaceful living... ISTJ's are very loyal, faithful, and dependable..."
the packet also exclaimed her strengths and weaknesses. Amari looked at her strengths, it stated, "
An ISTJ has a stick to it attitude... value for social structure... respect for rules and orders... their
desire to execute known systems against concrete facts." She then turned the page to learn about
what they assume as an ISTJ's weaknesses. The packet exclaimed, "ISTJ's weaknesses... Tendancy

Succeeding in academics can be affected greatly by your personality. Being an ISTJ and having
sensing and judging as my two main personality traits certainly has both its up and downs. Ever
since I was a child, I have always been responsible, orderly, and statistical, and as time passed, these
traits become a natural habit. I see this as a strength since it had helped me significantly in my
studies, but some of these traits also restrict my creativity and often makes it difficult for me to look
outside the box. Sensors are great problem–solvers, so when I am faced with a problem, I attempt to
use the information I have available to come up with the best solutions. Emotions rarely ever
influence my conclusions and perceptions, and I place a great deal of trust in my judgement, which
is based mostly off of logic and reasoning. I do not make assumptions, and instead, I prefer to
observe my surroundings and take a practical, well–planned course of action. This causes me to
have little tolerance and patience for indecisiveness and intuitive judgments; I prefer to analyze the
information available and make a decision quickly. On the other hand, because this trait is so

Personality Theory : The Four Characteristics Of Human...
As a strong proponent of human psychology, I've always strived for knowing more about the inner
world of people around me. It's always interested me, and it didn't take me a lot of time to see that,
in order to understand people better, I should start with understanding myself. MBTI personality
theory provides a very valuable insight into the inner workings of the human mind. It's based on the
works of Carl Jung, a very prominent figure in the field of Psychology. The theory is based on a
speculation "that there are four principal psychological functions by which humans experience the
world – sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking – and that one of these four functions is dominant
for a person most of the time," (Myers–Briggs Type Indicator, n.d., para. 2). There are a lot of tests
online that would give the results of varied validity, starting with preliminary readings and looking
whether one of the sixteen types fits on and ending with long questionnaires with a quite high
chance of being correct.
As an introverted person who perceives the world through my inner prism, I came to a conclusion
that ISTJ might definitely be my type. People with an ISTJ personality type are often considered to
be a bit on a cold–blooded side, but this is far from the truth. We are people of action, so words of
empty compassion are rarely uttered. ISTJs feel deeply, and their feelings run strong, but they also
conform to tradition and society norms, and keeping up a good front plays a

ISTJ Personality Profile
What have I learned to date? I self–assessed and confirmed my personal profile as an ISTJ
personality, checked out social and emotional intelligence, collaborated alongside a partner with an
opposite personality for an assignment, and pondered the giving and receiving of feedback.
Accordingly, my confirmed ISTJ profile, interprets as inward thinking, quiet contemplation,
reserved, thorough, dependable, punctilious, practical, realistic, organized, values previous
experience, and prefers working alone, or in limited groups, somewhat cool, stand–offish, and
seldom social (Myers, 1998, p. 13; Hoover–Plonk, n.d.; Goleman, 2006). What presents the biggest
challenge for me? Social skills, communication. In today's world of business, academia, and home
life, social skills are a key function in a daily routine; the ability to interact, to network, not only
one–on–one, but within larger groups of people. Whereas I have difficulty, an extroverted
personality, who loves people and the social interaction with groups, adapts easier and
communicates effortlessly. While I function and interact smoothly in a smaller group, especially my
own work team, along with close family and friends, this can be construed as a narrow, or limited,
set of social skills. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Each of us has different personalities. Beginning as an infant, all of us have no idea who or what
kind an individual we are. All of us see the world through the eyes of our very own parents,
guardians or other adults who tried to show and teach us what really the world is. Those individuals
show us their own ideas of what truly are right and wrong, the good and bad. However, as we grow,
our peers have much influence over how we define ourselves. There could be times, an individual
would desire to fit in and belong to be like others. Likewise, in the society we belong to, each of us
has tried to learn and take in all of our experiences, and relationships with other people. For this
reason, Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS) is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Keirsey's temperament theory, there are four temperament groups which describe human behavior
such as artisan, guardian, rational and idealist (Keirsey Temperament Website, (n.d.)). These four
temperaments groups can be further subdivided, often referred to as "Character Types" (Keirsey
Temperament Website, (n.d.)). Thus, there are now four types of each group of artisan, guardian,
rational, and idealist. Therefore, the result of this test is a four–letter abbreviation of the test taker's
dominant personality type. In which, these four letters can help an individual to view themselves
and others and how to interact effectively. In this case, based on Figure 1, the personality type result
of this test indicates that the test taker is a guardian. According to Keirsey Temperament Sorter
(Keirsey Temperament Website – Portrait of the Guardian (SJ), (n.d.)), the one word that best
describes a guardian inspector is being dependable. Guardians can also be described as a
hardworking, helpful, dutiful, with a very strong work ethic that can take them far (Keirsey
Temperament Website – Portrait of the Guardian (SJ), (n.d.)). For that matter, based on Figure 2, by
using the four letter abbreviation, the guardian mentioned is categorized as an ISTJ that stands for

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator

The Leadership Style of ISTJ Introduction The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a
personality assessment that was originally developed by the mother–daughter duo, Katharine Cook
Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. After meeting her daughter's future husband for the
first time, Clarence Myers, Katharine got inspired to start researching personality types after she
noticed that although Clarence was a good match for her daughter, he seemed to have viewed the
world differently compared to her and her family. Fast forward to today; through a series of events
and breakthroughs in research, the MBTI is the most trusted personality assessment tool available. It
is taken by millions of men, women, and even children around the world. It has many practical uses,
for example, employers give this assessment to existing employees so that the employee is aware of
their personality traits including strengths and weaknesses in hope of achieving maximum
efficiency. It is also given to potential employees to see if they would be a good fit. What do U.S.
Presidents: George Washington, Andrew Johnson, and Georges H. W. Bush all have in common?
The answer to that is quite simple, they were all great leaders of course. But what is lesser known is
that they all have the ISTJ personality type. Hence, this topic is of keen interest to me because I

Some generally qualities are independent, logical, loyal, responsible, serious, organized, quiet and a rule follower etc. I found most of these qualities to be true about myself. I like working alone and think before I act. I need to have the facts before I set my k da to something. I'm pretty loyal since I keep things to myself and people can rely on me when they need some assistance. I am kind of quiet when I don't know where I am at or who I'm going to be dealing with. • 7. The Keirsey Temperament Sorter II The Keirsey Temperament Sorter–II is an instrument to determine an individual's personality traits. Each of us has different personalities. Those personalities that we acquired through our parents, guardians or that we learned ourselves. To understand another individual, we have to understand ourselves first. The Keirsey Temperament Sorter–II provides a better understanding for each temperament or characteristic of a person and how an individual interacts with other personality types. Having this tool can help an individual to make a better choice in life, especially in a workplace where there are so many types of diverse groups. Personality Type Each of us has different personalities. Beginning as an infant, all of us have no idea who or what kind an individual we are. All of us see the world through the eyes of our very own parents, guardians or other adults who tried to show and teach us what the world is all about. Those individuals show us their ideas of what truly are right and wrong, or what is the good and bad. However, as we grow, our peers have much influence over how we define ourselves. There could be times; an individual would desire to fit in and belong to be like others. Likewise, in the society we belong to, each of us has tried to learn and take in all of our experiences, and relationships with other people. For this reason, Keirsey Temperament Sorter II (KTS–II) is the best tool to use to describe an individual's personality. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Myer-Briggs Test After taking the Myer–Briggs Type Indicator test, I have discovered that I have the ISTJ, The Logistician, personality type. First, as with other personality types, there are many strengths and weaknesses of having the ISTJ personality. ISTJs write best when using facts and data and struggle when developing personal thoughts and opinions. When looking over my previous essays, I noticed the best ones are either research papers or essays involving little commentary on the subject. Therefore, the test is right in that my best works are written concretely. Next, ISTJs can write close to the deadline of an assignment. This is true because I write best when I have the pressure of the assignment being due soon; thus, I come up with fake deadlines ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Myers Briggs Personality Traits This paper will delineate the specifics of the ISTJ personality and analyze my personality type. Understanding that different people handle situations differently, this paper will discuss personal development mechanisms I must consider in my daily interaction with others. Specifically, this paper will discuss relevant personality strengths and considerations for me to develop and improve weaker areas in order to better serve other personality types. This paper will also examine aspects of my organizational behavior and a self–assessment to become a better coworker. Of the 16 types of Meyers–Briggs personality types, I scored as an ISTJ, which is consistent with a Meyers–Briggs Type Indicator test conducted in early 2013. To become a better coworker, manager and organizational leader, I must strengthen my organizational behaviors and beliefs to develop a greater worldview perspective (Fisher, 2012). Step 1 Myers–Briggs Personality Type Kroeger, Thuesen, and Rutledge (2002) noted "...the key to managing others effectively is to manage yourself first" (p. 14). This statement signifies that one must understand their personality strengthens and recognize weaknesses to grow into a more effective manager of programs and people. Introverted. Introverts enjoy privacy, peace, and quiet. Introverted types can rehearse interactions before executing them and delay decisions to ponder the data gathered (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, 2002). Istj Critical Thinking Model ISTJ individuals, or "traditionalists," are honest, direct, decisive, efficient, dedicated, responsible, strong–willed, reliable, committed, and trustworthy.1 As ISTJ's are very strong–willed and dedicated, Jung's test describes them as "doers." 1 ISTJ's are very competitive and always pushing themselves to improve and succeed. 1 I was not surprised by outcome of being labeled as an ISTJ. My results did produce what I anticipated in terms of characteristics and even in terms of career paths. The career paths of an ISTJ are listed as those in law or government, i.e. military personnel, judges, teachers, accountants, detectives, doctors, etc. 1 Though my career path of an interior designer was not listed for an ISTJ, I am not surprised. • 15. Istj Personality According to the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test, I am considered an ISTJ. I have a preference of introversion over extraversion, sensing over intuition, thinking over feeling and judging over perceiving. All of my preferences were considered "moderate". ISTJs are initially considered unapproachable and are not overly quick to offer up their thoughts. Efficiency is an integral part of the ISTJ personality and a lack of consistency can easily anger an ISTJ. The "Introverted Sensing" aspect concerns specifics. People that possess this quality typically hold everything to a clear standard. ISTJs have introverted feelings and do not typically express their thoughts. Warmth is not often exuded by ISTJs. Their feelings are expressed unlike most people and are most often observed nonverbally. To know what an ISTJ is thinking, one must closely observe their facial expressions. Examples of career types for ISTJs include military and police officers, engineers, lawyers and surgeons. I find it fitting that engineering was found on the list of potential careers for an ISTJ. This survey did a great job of nailing down my personality. I tend to keep to myself and enjoy moments of silence. My strengths are in fact my punctuality and my ability to work quickly and effectively. • 20. Istj Application Essay Example ISTJ So what is an ISTJ and who am I? As described above, I am a quiet and reserved individual who uses experience to make analytical decisions, but only after a lot of thought and analyzing! In the workplace, I keep to myself for the most part and do not do a lot of conversing with management that does not pertain to work. Most of my recent professional life has been leadership roles, so having someone working under me has been common for many years. In the workplace, I feel like I get along better with them. I feel that I can interact amongst the employees on the floor and be myself more than what I can with the guys dressed in suits. My positions are usually one of a supervisor or department manager, so I am a liaison between the entry level employees and upper management. Some people seem to get their bonus points by congregating with managers in their offices, but I'm more comfortable amongst the hourly workers that get the work completed. Obviously, I can communicate with upper management, but keep it strictly professional with them. I keep work relationships minimal because I have been burned by them before and have learned from it. I hired friends to work as assistant managers under me for a period of time and saw my store begin to decline. I understood then that I could not have close friends in important positions under me because the inability to separate work from social life, and discipline and be taken serious, were too difficult at the time. This internal focus tends to have me be labeled as quiet or reserved but this internal world of thinking and reflection is a fertile place for ideas where I can plan and organize tasks. • 24. The Purpose Of The Keirsey Temperament Sorter Test Purpose The Keirsey Temperament Sorter Test and others like it, such as the Myers–Briggs Test, are meant to measure types and aspects of one's personality based on a series of opinionated questions. These sorts of tests are meant to show individuals what their personality types are, as well as the careers that would fit their personality types the best. Developed by Dr. David Keirsey, the test sorts participant into four major groups based on their personality results: artisans, guardians, rationals, and idealists. These groups are then narrowed down into narrower categories based on the Myers– Briggs system results for separate personality types. These results are meant to reveal a person's true character and temperament. The Keirsey Test is greatly based on human behavior, so it is essentially measuring the daily behaviors of participants and sorting them into different personality types, or temperaments. The test also helps to evaluate a person's character through the opinionated questions within the test. The opinionated approach of the test makes it a decent measure of a person's character, but only if the participant is fully open and honest about his true self within the test, rather than being the person that they wish to be when answering the questions. Many have reported findings that these personality tests have low validity in their results (Dakin et al., 1994). Because so much accountability on the participants' end is required for this test, the integrity ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My score is ISTJ. This stands for introversion, sensing, thinking, and judging, which very accurately describes me. While it can be challenging for personality test to fully understand someone with just a few questions, this Myers Brigs test described me very well. I very strongly agree with the results I have received. The first letter of my score is I, which stands for introversion. I have always been more of an introvert than an extrovert. Alone time is something I have always had an appreciation for and felt was necessary for my happiness. The next letter in my type stands for sensing. This means I heavily rely on my five senses to take in information. The aspect of me can be seen in the way I learn. I feel I learn best when doing hands–on activities, which is consistent with sensing people. The third letter in my type is T, which represents thinking. Another occurrence of my acting "out–of– type" is over the weekend, when I should have been getting ahead on homework. This is why they are known for being very efficient workers, when a plan is laid out for them and instructs them of which tasks need to be done in order to complete it is when they get the most work done. Someone with this personality would be one that does not give that much personal information out to people they don't know really well and won't show too many emotions. Myer's Briggs Personality Test Paper A test that I recently took includes the Myer's Briggs Personality Test which categorizes an individual as either being an introvert or extrovert, an intuitive or sensitive person, a person who feels or thinks, and someone who perceives or judges. My results signified that I am an introvert who is sensitive and likes to think as well as judge, which can be referred to an ISTJ personality; in simpler terms, my results basically mean I am a responsible, serious and sensible person in society. Although we are all closely related there are differences that make working each other not only easier but more effective. First I will start by discussing personality types of my team member's and then I will relate them to my own type and the challenges we face working as a team. First I will start with the ISFJ, the type that the girls of our group are. This type is described as being quiet and caring people. They are also said to be dependent on helping others. Other than that I don't see many other challenges that our group faces. I find that since our group is made up of so many different types we complement each other and thus make work easy. The best way to show that our group compliments each other is that Doug and my thinking type compliments Miranda's and Adrene's feeling type. I say this because of Doug and I having more of a leadership role in the group our thinking type is supported by the girls feeling type and thus we never have conflict when it comes to making ... Isabel Briggs Personality Personality tests serve as effective facilitators to learning about the features of an employee and potential benefits and drawbacks that he or she may encounter at a given position. The results of this test will be explained by analyzing to some degree what makes me preferential to some type traits over others and how it has defined many of my choices and decision making. We also dislike change, abstract theory, and nonsensical work. Organizational Behavior ( Ob ) Organizational behavior (OB) is the study of how people interact within groups and can be used to achieve a covenant relationship within organizations similar to the relationship that God has with His people. The Jung Typology Test classifies people into one of the sixteen personality types determined by Isabel Briggs Myers and one of the four temperaments defined by David Keirsey. • 68. Personality Theory : The Four Characteristics Of Human... As a strong proponent of human psychology, I've always strived for knowing more about the inner world of people around me. It's always interested me, and it didn't take me a lot of time to see that, in order to understand people better, I should start with understanding myself. MBTI personality theory provides a very valuable insight into the inner workings of the human mind. It's based on the works of Carl Jung, a very prominent figure in the field of Psychology. The theory is based on a speculation "that there are four principal psychological functions by which humans experience the world – sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking – and that one of these four functions is dominant for a person most of the time," (Myers–Briggs Type Indicator, n.d., para. 2). There are a lot of tests online that would give the results of varied validity, starting with preliminary readings and looking whether one of the sixteen types fits on and ending with long questionnaires with a quite high chance of being correct. As an introverted person who perceives the world through my inner prism, I came to a conclusion that ISTJ might definitely be my type. People with an ISTJ personality type are often considered to be a bit on a cold–blooded side, but this is far from the truth. We are people of action, so words of empty compassion are rarely uttered. I self–assessed and confirmed my personal profile as an ISTJ personality, checked out social and emotional intelligence, collaborated alongside a partner with an opposite personality for an assignment, and pondered the giving and receiving of feedback. Accordingly, my confirmed ISTJ profile, interprets as inward thinking, quiet contemplation, reserved, thorough, dependable, punctilious, practical, realistic, organized, values previous experience, and prefers working alone, or in limited groups, somewhat cool, stand–offish, and seldom social (Myers, 1998, p. 13; Hoover–Plonk, n.d.; Goleman, 2006). What presents the biggest challenge for me? Social skills, communication. In today's world of business, academia, and home life, social skills are a key function in a daily routine; the ability to interact, to network, not only one–on–one, but within larger groups of people. Whereas I have difficulty, an extroverted personality, who loves people and the social interaction with groups, adapts easier and communicates effortlessly. While I function and interact smoothly in a smaller group, especially my own work team, along with close family and friends, this can be construed as a narrow, or limited, set of social skills. ... • 72. Jung Typology Test My personality type according to the Jung Typology Test is ISTJ. These letters stand for Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging. I agree with my results because, I'm introverted and would rather be by myself a majority of the time. I tend to try to make sense of things instead of allowing my intuition to take over. I think long and hard about certain outcomes that could go bad or good. I also tend to judge every little thing that I myself or another person does. With my personality type I am better suited in Technical, Managerial, Legal and Health care professions. Even though most of these are careers that I am not interested in, the Managerial profession is the closest thing to what I want to do with my life as I get older. This makes ... Being compared to Jackie Joyner–Kersee is cool because, to know that she was one of the best in her sport and seemed so comfortable in what she was doing to learn that she was also introverted shows that doing what she loved to do helped her come out of her shell and to help her dominate in her field According to the test an ISTJ personality comes across in communication as open and natural as well as precise and to the point but can still be formal. Their social circle consists of family, friends and acquaintances. I agree with with the test because it's all true with me. I can hold conversations with what seems like no problems but on the inside I can get very anxious. I also don't associate with many people unless they are family, extremely close friends or if I've had time to get comfortable around close acquaintances. Relative to my career choice I think having an ISTJ personality type won't help that well when it comes to managing a whole entire group of people. Sometimes I feel that I can get so used to doing things by myself that telling others to do it will make me uncomfortable. Being an introvert may help me and hold me back at the same time in a managerial ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 74. Keirsey Temperament Sorter ( Kts ) Each of us has different personalities. Beginning as an infant, all of us have no idea who or what kind an individual we are. All of us see the world through the eyes of our very own parents, guardians or other adults who tried to show and teach us what really the world is. Those individuals show us their own ideas of what truly are right and wrong, the good and bad. However, as we grow, our peers have much influence over how we define ourselves. There could be times, an individual would desire to fit in and belong to be like others. Likewise, in the society we belong to, each of us has tried to learn and take in all of our experiences, and relationships with other people. For this reason, Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS) is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 76. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator Tellon Smith MWSU 1333–1H2 – Honors Leadership MSU Seminar November 10, 2015 MBTI: The Leadership Style of ISTJ Introduction The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality assessment that was originally developed by the mother–daughter duo, Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. After meeting her daughter's future husband for the first time, Clarence Myers, Katharine got inspired to start researching personality types after she noticed that although Clarence was a good match for her daughter, he seemed to have viewed the world differently compared to her and her family. Fast forward to today; through a series of events and breakthroughs in research, the MBTI is the most trusted personality assessment tool available. It is taken by millions of men, women, and even children around the world. It has many practical uses, for example, employers give this assessment to existing employees so that the employee is aware of their personality traits including strengths and weaknesses in hope of achieving maximum efficiency. It is also given to potential employees to see if they would be a good fit. What do U.S. Presidents: George Washington, Andrew Johnson, and Georges H. W. Bush all have in common?
