Official Projects:
1. Client- Ph.D.scholar, WALCHAND COLLEGE OFENGINEERING
Project Name: Design and Implementation of SHUNT ACTIVE FILTER & STATCOM in
Transmission Lines to Reduce harmonics.
Tools : FPGA
Hardware : H-bridge Inverter /300V/5A
TeamSize : 4
2. Description:
The objectiveof Hardware is to provide
1. Shunt ActiveFilters(3 phase AC drive) parallel to 3 phase transmission line to
reduce 3 level harmonics and improvement of input current waveform.
2. For STATCOM Series and shunt compensation in transmission line to improve power
factorand voltage sag and swell during fault conditions.
I was involvedin Hardware Development, Testing and Validation.
Roles:
Requirement collection
Development of Hardware circuit
Create test procedure to verify hardware design
Hardware validation and testing.
2. Client - Ph.D.scholar,
Project Name: Design and implementation of TCR in Transmission Lines to improve
Powerfactor.
Tools : FPGA
Hardware : H-bridge Inverter /300V/5A
TeamSize : 4
Description:
The objective of Hardware is to provide TCR (Thyristor Controlled Reactor) parallel to 3
phase transmission line to improve and maintain power factor during Lagging and
Leading loads. I was involvedin Hardware Development, Testing and Validation.
Roles:
Requirement collection
Development of Hardware circuit
Create test procedure to verify hardware design
Hardware validation and testing.
3. Client - VIT university-Chennai campus, BITS PILANI-Hyderabad Campus
Project Name: Hardware development of 3 phase H-bridge type Inverter for Linear
Induction Motor (LIM),SR motor, BLDC motor
Tools : Microcontroller/FPGA
Hardware : H-bridge Inverter /300V/5A
TeamSize : 4
3. Description:
The objective of Hardware is to drive LIM, SR, BLDC motors because these motors will
not self-started. For SR and BLDC motors they have position sensors (Hall Effect
sensors) will sense the motor position and made look up table and are given to the
microcontroller/FPGA and the controller will give the pulse to the Source Power module
(SPM) with isolated pulses and tuned for 5A protection. I was involved in Hardware
Development, Testing and Validation.
Roles:
Requirement collection
Development of Hardware circuit
Buffercircuits for PositionSensor Output
Create test procedure to verify hardware design
Hardware validation and testing
4. Client- Walchand College of Engineering-Sangli
ProjectName: Development of 3 phase to 3 phase Matrix Converters withbi-
directional switches
Tools : FPGA
TeamSize : 4
Hardware : 3 Phases to 3 Phase Matrix Converters
Description :
The objectiveof the Hardware is of direct AC-AC conversionusing matrix converter and
using Bidirectional switching topology where it provides sinusoidal Input and Output
Voltage Waveforms when compared to other AC-AC conversion Techniques .The
advantage is of Minimal higher order harmonics and input power factorcan be
controlled. I was involvedin Hardware Development, Testing and validation.
Roles:
Requirement collection
Development of Hardware circuits
Integration of LC filter in Input side
Create test procedure to verify hardware design
Hardware validation using RL Load,3Phase AC Induction Motors
5. Client-Walchand College of Engineering-Sangli
Project Name: Developments of 3 phase Multi Level Inverter (7 Level) using cascaded
H-bridge type inverter circuits
Tools : FPGA
Hardware : Cascaded type H-Bridge Inverter (7-Level)
TeamSize : 4
4. Description :
The objective of this Hardware is to improve power factor, harmonics and having an
advantage of common mode voltage and reduce harmonic distortion. Used for industrial
applications as alternative in high power and medium voltage situations. I was involved
in Hardware development, Testing and validation.
Roles:
