1. REQUIREMENTS FROM THE PROSPECTIVE PATENT APPLICANT
Provisional Specification
1. TITLE OF YOUR INVENTION
A unique method for comprehensive Logistics Risk Assessment, Mitigation and
Enforcement
2. Nature of Invention.
A Route-Risk profile is created using a knowledge base created using a series of
regulatory, geographical, structural, climatic, political and religious conditions, captured
through systematic recording and also by using various devices including GPS, GSM,
GPRS receivers; Lidar, laser based scanning, video scanning, IR scanning; Weight,
Pressure, Tilt, Impact, and Proximity Sensors; structural strength analyzers.
The said Route-Risk profile is used to assess and mitigate the risks along the route. Any
logistics movement including Over Dimensional Cargo will be subjected to a virtual
simulation to arrive at regulatory compliant, safety compliant, risk-minimal route.
3. PRIOR ART
It is known that there exist Risk Analysis systems in the form of questionnaire capture
and analysis or data analysis by using a set of questions to capture ‘perceived’ risk.
It is known that application 448/MUMNP/2005, Indian Patent No. 221332 titled “RISK
DATA ANALYSIS SYSTEM” granted to ACCENTURE GLOBAL SERVICES GMBH details a data
analysis software approach.
It is further known that an example of using a digital questionnaire and a system using
data storage, analysis and reporting capabilities for capturing answers is described in U.
S. Patent Application No. 09/559,725, filed April 28,2000, titled "CLAIM DATA ANALYSIS
TOOL KIT".
4. The deficiencies or drawbacks in the existing art (which is called ‘Prior Art’).
All the existing solutions are questionnaire or system data centric. Existing solutions
do not facilitate the users to capture a variety of physical data and comprehensively
analyze risk exposure from various aspects mentioned in the current invention

The existing solutions address a ‘perceived’ risk aspect, not the actual risk that is
present in the form of regulatory requirements, structural limitations, geo-political
compulsions etc.,
Existing solutions cannot be used for physical intensive operations – like logistics
Existing solutions are for post-facto analysis, not for preventive, predictive analysis to
minimize physical and systemic logistics risks
