1. Main applications of zircon brick in glass furnace
Zircon is a mineral belonging to the group of nesosilicates. Its chemical name is zirconium
silicate and its corresponding chemical formula is ZrSiO4. In recent years, zircon has
attracted considerable attention as a high-technology material for industrial applications,
because of its superior mechanical, thermal, electrical, chemical and optical properties. Due
to these special properties, zircon is also widely used in glass industry which is called zircon
brick.
Zircon brick has excellent performance when used in glass furnace, the main composition of
zircon brick is ZrO2, generally the contents is above 64%, at the same time SiO2 and Fe2O3
