Fused cast azs block is produced by casting method, however, the operation of casting has a

1. During casting process, there are intense heat exchange and chemical reaction between
the molten liquid and sand mold. The temperature of molten liquid is very high when casting
which forms a big temperature difference with mold, so in the casting process, the molten
liquid is cooling and the temperature is reduced, however, the mold is heated, and the
composition of the mold material is decomposed and gasified which carry out some chemical
reaction with molten liquid, so that the cavity pressure increases which is harmful to type of
the charge. When it is serious, there will be a rise, which makes the casting have the defects
of porosity.
2. Molten liquid process is not a stable process, the attack and uneven flow of casting liquid
will make fused cast azs block drum kits, cold insulation and empty shell of surface.
3. The filling sand process by molten liquid is similar to filling a porous container. As the mold
wall has certain permeability, if the pressure in the cavity is less than that of the type wall, the
molten liquid will breathe outside air and cause the air hole, otherwise, the molten liquid can
be pressed into the wall and cause severe sand.
4. The time of casting process has a significant effect on the temperature distribution of the
casting.
