12. TWO CAUSES OF THE
BUDGET GAP
Relocation of
4 families -$17,000
reduction in
pledge
13. Reduction of
income from
nursery school
--$13,000
– loss of 48 students
– All day kindergarten at
public school
eliminates nursery
school kindergarten
enrichment program
– public school pre-k for
special needs children;
unused slots available
on lottery basis
– decrease in birth rate
14. What can we do to meet the
challenge and FLOURISH in Faith?
15. Raising $30,000 may sound like
a difficult task , but let’s take
a look at how we can do this…
17. • The other $24,000 is doable
if we all make a commitment
to achieve this goal
18. FIRST, unanimous vestry commitment
Kate Galbavy * John Brenner
Hazel Kelly * Mary Ann O’Connor * Amy Dixon
Debbie Cortale * Fred Horney * Allie Voss
Jean Otte * Courtney Dee * Mike Lauro
19. Can we agree to forgo:
-One less coffee and a bagel a week?
-One bag of cookies?
-One less waffle cone at Hoffman’s?
-One less take out fast food lunch????
20. SECOND, if each of our
congregation’s households would
make a commitment to raise their
pledge by a minimum of $5.00 a week
we could achieve our goal (for a
family of 4 that is pennies a day!!!)
Isn't what our wonderful church
means to each of us worth our making
this pledge to help seed for the future
and help our church to thrive ??????
21. THIRD, we invite you all to join with
our wardens and vestry members in
demonstrating your commitment to
the challenge to "FLOURISH in Faith."
