7. What is NISOA?
The National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials
Association (NISOA) is an organization of
more than 5,000 soccer officials which trains,
certifies and provides qualified soccer
referees for the college soccer community
throughout the country. The mission of
NISOA is to assist in the development of
soccer as a major sport in the United States
and to improve the quality of officiating at
the college and high school levels.
8. Our goals are:
To promote and maintain the highest degree of soccer
officiating by following a standard set of mechanics, a
uniform interpretation, and a consistent administration
of the rules of soccer as set forth on the collegiate and
high school levels.
To have available at all times an adequate number of
thoroughly trained and capable officials.
To cooperate with organizations and institutions
officially related to the game of soccer in furthering its
interests and details.
To assign only members of this association who are
properly certified, trained and registered as a NISOA
member.
10. Membership Requirements
Submit all dues and fees.
The initial membership fee is broken
into two parts. A $105 dues and a
minimum of $120 referee kit

Renewal dues are $135.
11. Membership Requirements

recommendation (2 from
NISOA members, 1 from a

17. Membership Requirements
Prospective new members are reminded that they
have six months in which to finalize all of the
required paperwork. If all paperwork is not
completed and in the hands of the NEISOA
Secretary by the Executive Board meeting on the
first Sunday in May, the application process is
voided and must begin anew. It is strongly
suggested that if you wish to be considered for
assignments in the upcoming year that you
expedite this process. Your name will not be
provided to game assignors until all requirements
have been fulfilled.
