Why PDHPE?
1. WHY PDHPE?
The importance of Physical Development, Health and
Physical Education to the primary curriculum can often be
overlooked in the preference of units traditionally seen to
be of more academic value such as literacy and
numeracy. However, PDHPE teaches students the value
of physical activity, an understanding of self and others,
and factors contributing to decision making, leading and
responsibility. Children are taught strategies for improving
interpersonal relationships and skills for better health and
ensuring they are surrounded by safe environments. But
best of all in PDHPE, students have…. FUN!!
