History
The Sta. Rita Elementary School was established in the year 1994 as
primary school offering only from grades 1 and 2 with less than 50 pupils.
As the years went by, the school then evolved as a complete multi-grade
school and eventually, a complete mono-grade school offering from
grades 1 to 6 under the leadership of the former school head, Mr. Dante
A. Comparativo. It was in the time of Mr. Comparativo that the school
really underwent major changes particularly in the ownership of the
school site and construction of school buildings. In the year 2011, the
kindergarten was formally integrated in the curriculum through the
enhanced K to 12 program. Currently, for the school year 2013 – 2014, the
Sta. Rita ES has an enrollment of 147 pupils from kinder to grade 6 and
has 6 regular teacher, 1 kindergarten volunteer teacher and 1 school
head.

The Sta. Rita ES is a complete mono-grade public elementary school.
Curriculum
The Sta. Rita ES as mandated by the Department of Education applies the
Basic Education Curriculum from Grades 3 to 6, K to 12 Enhanced
Curriculum from Kindergarten to grade2.

2. Socio – cultural
The people of sitio Sta. Rita come from the different tribes such as
Kamayo, Manobo, Cebuano, Boholano and others. When it comes to
faith, there are Roman Catholics, Assembly of God, and Seventh Day
Adventist.
Political
The Sitio is governed by a purok leader or chairman together with the sitio
council members. In the performance of their duties, they always practice
the democratic way. Currently, Hon. Danilo D. Mahusay is the Sitio
Chairman. He is a service-oriented person and a strong supporter of
whatsoever school’s plans, programs and projects.
Geographical Location
Sta. Rita is a Sitio of barangay Sta. Juana in the municipality of Tagbina. Its
neighboring sitios are sitio Dreamland and sitio Maputi. It is 5 kilometers
away from the barangay proper and 17Km from the town proper.
Demography
Sitio Sta. Rita has a total population of __. Its population is now increasing
due to the influx of new settlers.
Economy
The prime source of income of the people of Sta. Rita is through farming
wherein most of them belong to the low income families. For this reason,
most of them are beneficiaries of PANTAWID or 4P’s. As part of the
poverty alleviation measure of the sitio, the sitio officials and the school
faculty joined together in sponsoring a symposium on “Common Code for
Coffee Community”[4C’s] that aims to provide better livelihood projects
to the local famers that may eventually, uplift the people’s standard of
living in the coming years.
