- So we are Classroom.tv, and our mission is to provide high-quality and cost-effective education to everyone.
- --In the last 20 to 25 years we have experienced a huge educational bubble. --Tuition charges have risen far faster than inflation and than the median family income. (--The credit bubble has reinforced this problem) --This picture was taken 4 months ago in L.A., after the University of California decided to raise its tuition by 32%.
- --We believe that everone deserves the same opportunities to compete...and begin from the same start line. ---- --We believe that education provides those opportunities so that maybe a little boy born in Palo Alto can have have access to them..
- ...or maybe little Mary born on the other side of the world can have these same opportunities.
- --On the other hand, the cost of delivering a course online continues to plunge. --Basically the cost of storying or streaming a course online has decreased a thousand fold in the last 12 years.
- --It is giving you access to a community of peers. --Evaluating you to make sure you are understanding the material. --Interacting with you in order to guide you through your learning experience. --Giving you a diploma usually associated with a respected school
