2. We have 3 ways how to talk about plans in
English. But firstly, we need to make clear
how certain your plans are
3. If your plans are not that serious and even spontaneous - it’s better to use
Future Simple
EXAMPLE: I WILL CALL YOU BACK
Also, if you want to tell prediction based only on your opinion - you can
use Future Simple too
EXAMPLE: I THINK IT WILL RAIN
4. If your plans are more serious, you thought about them ❗before ❗ the moment of
speech, but there is still a chance that they won’t become a reality - it’s better to use
construction to be going to
EXAMPLE: I AM GOING TO VISIT MY GRANDPARENTS THIS WEEKEND
5. IF YOU WANT TO PREDICT
SOMETHING BASED ON FACTS -
USE «TO BE GOING TO’
The sky is grey. It is going to rain
6. Last but not least, if you are sure for 100% about your plans or arrangements -
- use Present Continuous
EXAMPLE: I AM FLYING TO TOKYO TOMORROW
