7. Procedure
Zinc Acetate Solution
(Solution A)
2 mmol Zinc acetate was
taken and it was dissolved
in 10 mL hot methanol.
Ligand Solution
(Solution B)
10 mL methanolic solution
of the 2 mmol ligand was
prepared.
Reaction Mixture
Solution A was added to
Solution B dropwise. The
mixture was then kept for
reflux for 1 hour.
Crude Product
After 1 hour, the mixture
was concentrated and
cooled to obtain the final
product. The product was
filtered and washed with
water and methanol and
dried in air.
