I recently gave a talk on how to build products to solve customer pain points and not necessarily what a customer asks for
I'll try and add notes since mine is a more visual presentation and very less text that I cover during my talk
18. - Who are the customers?
- What are their pain points?
- Are the incentives aligned for all stakeholders?
QUESTIONSTOASK
19. - A Product Manager needs to be ‘out there’ - Build to solve customer pain points - Not
necessarily what the customer asks
- Always keep an eye on ‘Who are the customers?’ too! If we plan for only one group
(riders, walk in customers etc.) and forget others (Driver partners, Store employees
etc.), the product won't succeed
- God and Devil are both in the details
- Build quickly, iterate rapidly to succeed. Don't hesitate to drop stu
ff
completely and
turn directions
- Also, remember the 'Faster horses'
