1. have just finish reading Chapter five of a non-fiction book called Iqbal. The author of this book
was Francesco D’adamo and the author did not choose to put illustration therefore there is no
illustrator .The translator of this book was Ann Leonori .The style of this book narrative and the
narrator of this book is a young girl named Fatima .At the factory one of Fatima's friend Iqbal
tears the Blue Bhukara carpet that he made. He did this as an act of defiance against the
greedy master Hussain Khan .This took place in Lahore Pakistan at Hussain Khans carpet
factory before the foreign buyers was about to come .
The author’s purpose for writing this chapter is to unfold more of Iqbal's personality. One of
Iqbal's personality is bravery .Iqbal is brave because he ripped the Blue Bhukara carpet that he
made knowing that Hussain Khan will get mad at him and punish him . Another reason why
Iqbal is brave is he looked in every single child’s eye symbolizing that he is not the master’s pet.
Second characteristic that he showed in this chapter is that he is very calm. He is calm because
in the book the author said “He calmly turned and cut the carpet from top to bottom, right
through the middle “.Finally in this chapter the author showed the greediness of Hussain Khan.
Hussain khan is greedy as he showed that he only cares about the Blue Bhukara carpet and he
also showed that at the beginning he is being nice to the children because the foreign buyers
were about to come. However when Iqbal ripped the Blue Bhukara carpet he started being
mean by yelling at Iqbal “Hell Child” .That showed that Hussain is greedy.
The key lines worth remembering in this chapter is when Hussain khan said to Iqbal that he is
a poisonous viper. This this line is worth remembering because poisonous mean that Iqbal
might teach the other children to rip the carpets to or be trade him and viper means Iqbal is
betraying Hussain khan .Another key line worth remembering in this chapter is “Hussain Khan
squealed like a stuck pig”. This key line is worth remembering because it tells about Hussain
Khans personality that he would cry over an expensive carpet because he just want money .Key
word worth remembering in this chapter is the word “Hell child”. This key word is worth
remembering because this word represents that Hussain Khan is really mad Iqbal betrayed him
by ripping the expensive Blue Bhukara carpet .Another key line worth remembering in this
chapter is Ingrate. This key word is worth remembering because this word explains how
Hussain Khan thinks about Iqbal, an ungrateful person .Names worth remembering in this
chapter is Iqbal .Iqbal is worth remembering in this chapter because he is the main character in
this story and he was the one that got send to the tomb. Another character worth remembering
in this chapter is Hussain Khan. Hussain is worth remembering because in this chapter it talks
about the kind of characteristic he shows to Iqbal. The places worth remembering in this chapter
is Hussain Khan’s carpet factory .This place is worth remembering because this is the place
where Iqbal ripped the Blue Bhukara and made Hussain Khan squealed like a stuck pig.
Another place worth remembering in this chapter is the tomb. This place is worth remembering
because this is the place where Iqbal was dragged and got locked when he ripped the Blue
Bhukara.
The organizational feature that helped me in this chapter was the beginning,Rising action,
middle, rising action, climax, end.In this chapter the beginning of it was when the foreign buyers
were about to come. The rising action of this chapter was when Iqbal looked at the workers and
2. ripped the carpet. The middle of this chapter is when Hussain was getting mad to Iqbal. The
climax of this chapter was when Iqbal was getting dragged by Hussain Khan. The falling action
in this chapter was sent to the tomb. The end of this chapter was when Iqbal was in the tomb
locked and don't know when he is coming out.
After reading this chapter I could relate when Iqbal was brave enough to rip the very expensive
Blue Bhukara carpet. My relation to this chapter is when I was brave enough to protect my little
sister. I needed to protect my little sister because at grade four while it was recess I saw her
crying and scared when I asked her what was wrong she said that her classmate was bullying
her. What I did was I went up to her teacher and told the teacher what happen then after that
her classmate stopped bullying her. Another relation I could relate to this chapter is when Iqbal
got punished when he ripped the Blue Bhukara. I could relate to this when I was 10 years old
because I tried to buy chips by myself to a store .What happen was my mom saw me about to
go out of the apartment and stopped me .My punishment was I was grounded and she took my
money away.
