Task 1; To understand how to create a full range of tone using a variety of marks.
What does tone mean?

Look at the following artists
for ideas on how to create
tone from mark-making.
Henry Moore
Morandi
Seurat
Draw 4 boxes – shade from light to dark in each box using
different marks.
Task 2;
Find at least 3 objects to draw and group them together to create an interesting
composition.
Draw the objects and background.
Add tone using the different marks you practised in task 1.
