ArtReel
Theaters
Brand Name
Why did I choose the name ArtReel?
 • ArtReel to me is a play on words.
 • It takes the two things that I love (art and
movies) and brings them together into
   one word.
 • ArtReel is able to bring the thinking back
   to the arts and film.
Brand Name
              ArtReel backstory
• I was getting sick and tired of what movies
  are turning into.
• they were forgetting the what film really
  was, art.
• I tried to think of a name that would bring
the fine arts back into filmmaking.
Brand Name
Strengths and concerns with ArtReel
• STRENGTHS • CONCERNS
• Creative • Protecting could be
                             difficult
• Fun
                         • Could be mistaken for
• New different company

• Rolls of your tongue • Correct spelling could
                             be a problem
Brand Name
       is ArtReel Protectable?
• After checking the United States Patent
and Trademark Office, I found that the
name ArtReel Theaters is not being used
by anyone in my area or in the USA.
• Even if you spell the name wrong the no
one is using that brand name.
Brand Name
           ArtReel category
• After Reading the article Pursuing Strong
Brands, I found that the name ArtReel
Theaters is a descriptive / suggestive
  brand name.
• The name is describing what exactly it is by
  using the word “theaters”.
• But since we use the word ArtReel than it
is suggestive because, it is suggesting what
the company is not telling you out right.
Brand Logo
• The logo that feel would best suit ArtReel
Theaters would have to be Wordmark
  and Emblem.
• ArtReel would be in blue cursive text all
one stroke, that leads to the second row
where Theaters is written in lighter blue
  text.
• Behind the Wordmark we would have an
artists rendering of a full film reel.
Brand Logo
• The reason that the logo would be effective
is that it shows that art and film can be
  one.
• It shows that creation of film can lead into
the creation of something that everyone
  will enjoy.
Brand Logo
Competitors logo
Brand Logo
       Competitors logo (REGAL)
• Regal’s logo is one of the most well known logos
    in the movie theater business.

• The text is special text that was created just for
    Regal.

• The log shows a crown which means that they
claim them selves to be the king of movie
    theaters

• Along with that the colors behind the crown
represent the primary colors. Which all art is
    created with.
Brand Logo
              Effective Logo

• I feel that Yoplait and kraft foods has the
kind of logo I am looking for.
• The color of Kraft is the same color i
  would like to use
• The flowing of of Yoplait’s emblem the way
it interacts and makes the yoplait seem fun
  and friendly for everyone.
Brand Logo
               ArtReel Logo

• The ArtReel logo would look something
  like this.
• The text in the logo would be something
like Matura MT Script Capitals because it
  gives me a sleek feel.
• Behind the text would be an artist
rendering of a film reel, with some film
  spooling out.
Brand Logo
              ArtReel Logo
• The logo would start out with a dark blue
with the top text and the bottom text will
  be a lighter blue.
• At the bottom of the film real will read our
mission statement so that everyone will
  know who we are.
Corporate Culture
      ArtReel’s values & beliefs
• ArtReel believes that films should be
shown in a good theater where everyone is
comfortable and the movie looks good
• ArtReel believes that your movie going
experience should be cheap, fun, great
  movies.
• To carry out these objectives we will:
Corporate Culture
       ArtReel’s values & beliefs
• Only hire the essential staff that is needed
so that the community can get a chance to
volunteer to work at the theater.
• By doing this we will be creating an
atmosphere of friendliness and fun. Keeping
the community involved is one of our main
  points.
• Another way that w can create culture in
our community is make the theater non
  profit.
Mission Statement
• ArtReel’s mission statement is that
everyone is welcome, all films are
  welcome, all friends are welcome.
• They way that it is communicated is we will
have it be said before each movie and all
the paid staff will know the saying and say it
to all the volunteers to show that they are
  welcome.
• The mission statement tells everyone that
no one person or film will be left behind.
  Be it blockbuster or independent.
Mission Statement
• The way that this is different from our
competitors is that most major movie
chains do not show independent movies
because they may not be as profitable as
the big blocbuster. It keeps us unique.
Tagline
• ArtReel’s tagline reads, The way that films
  were meant to be seen.
• This is an effective tagline because it keeps
people wondering what exactly makes that
  theater so good.
• This tagline represents a provocative tone.
It leads the reader on and makes them
  wonder.
Tagline
• The tagline does not completely reinforce
the brand message but it makes you feel at
home when you come to the theater.
• It does distinguish us from the competition
because no one else makes you have the
same experience that you have with us.
• The tagline does demand action. It makes
you want to find out what exactly is going
  on.
