the minimumage range is12. Superhero’snormallyoriginatedfromcomicsandthe twomain
superherocomicsare ‘Marvel (1939)’ and ‘DC’(1934). So bythat theyare maybe alsoaimingit
towardspeople intheirearly40’s(due tothemreadingand collectingthemintheirchildhood). So
we can have a roughindicatorthat the age range is12-40. However,more specificallyIwouldlike to
aimmy filmat the youngeraudiencessuchaslate teens (16-19).Thisis because there isromance
withinitwhichtheywill understand,minimumamountof swearing(soit’sstillassessabletothe
youngaudience,suchas12 year olds) andviolence,whichthe stereotypical teenboywouldenjoyto

of myaudience asherofilmsinthe pasthave shownpeople aged18+ are the prime viewsof this
genre. If my audience was18+ I wouldthenbe able toinclude stronglanguage andmore violence,
howeverhavingayoungeraudience doesrestrictmyusage of violence andbadlanguage. Myfilm
will be certificatedasa 12A because of the content(thismaynotbe visibleinthe first2 minutesto
whythisis) I wanteda wide targetaudience because Ifeel like myfilmisappropriate toavase age
range;thisis evidentasthere have beenfilmssuchas‘The Dark Knight’where the targetaudience is
13 to adult.

Thiscouldbe a normal teenagedgirl whowantstogo to the cinemawithherfriends.Could
be intocomics andheroes.Dependswhothe mainrole is,asthat wouldattracttheir
attention(couldbe afan of the actors/actresses).Mighthave aninterestinfilmandthe
mediaindustry(director). Theycouldeitherbe stereotypicallynerdyandintotheircomics,
or be a veryboyishpersonthatlovesactionandviolence.
Because mytarget audience is18+ thismeanshe elderlycanenjoymymovie to.It’snotthatI’ve
specificallytargetedandthoughtitwasappropriate forthe elderly.Butsome olderpeople (mainly
men) wouldcome see aheromovie,tofeel youngagain.Theyhave alot of spare time to come to
the cinema. Alsotheycouldhave beenintoherothings,like collectable figuresorbooks.
