• Develop our understanding of the music technology V-Cert
qualification.
• Recognise the expectations of all work and understand the
work required for Pass, Merit and Distinction.
• Develop our critical ability to open and access sequencing
software.

Basic Information
• 4 Units of Study (2 of which are set by NCFE)
• 3 Units are internally assessed.
• 1 Unit is externally assessed.
• External assessment is set by the exam board and needs to be
carried out according to their deadline.
• Every task is assessed according to – Pass, Merit & Distinction.

• ‘Set up and operate a digital audio workstation’
What does this mean?
Work in pairs to define this title and come up with some
possible tasks….
Assessment Criteria 1.1
• ‘Select and launch appropriate sequencing software’
Activity –
Draw a flow chart of how you would open up a music programme on
the school PC’s….
How would you open them on your technology at home?
Research Task
On the school system we have …. Music programmes. In the
following groups research the properties of each one ready to
present to the rest of the class.

Ejay
Music Creator
Notion
Set up of documents
• Access technical notes on the VLE.
• Add additional detail as instructed by the criteria.
• Copy the header over to your word document.
• In the footer input your name and LPA.
• Write all reports in 12 size font.
