1. • Drawing race
Drawing contest where children have to draw the word given
by the teacher.
• Guess the picture
Either the teacher or a student starts drawing a picture. The
rest has to guess as soon as possible.
• Speaking stone
Sitting in a circle take turns to speak if they want whenever
they got the stone.
• Simon says
Use different prompts for this game according to your needs.
• Magic line
Draw a line on the floor. Each side is a category. Children
have to jump according to the prompt given.
2. • Chinese whispers
Divide the class in two teams whisper a word to the first
pupil from each. They have to whisper this word to the
person sitting next to them until it reaches the end of the
line. The team to finish first gets a point if the end word is
the same as the word you began the game with.
• Back drawing / writing
Put the pupils in pairs. They take turns drawing a simple
object or writing a word onto the other’s back. They must
guess the object or word.
• Noughts and crosses
Draw a grid on the board. Split the class into two groups
and play noughts and crosses.
