at Raffles Institute where we
brainstormed on more ideas.
6. Feel,

The workshop helped us to figure out
what we wanted to do!
7. Feel,
Feel Imagine, Do & Share
We noticed that students in our school
do not practice healthy eating.
8. Feel,
Feel Imagine, Do & Share
Most of them do not include vegetables
and fruits in their daily meals.

• Posters & Healthier choice charts were
put up for the whole week.
• 16th August – Vegetable Smoothie Lesson
• 18th August – Fruit & Vegetable Day
14. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
First, we feel that students need to
know what are some of the healthier
food in the canteen.
15. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
Hence we came up with healthier choice
charts. On Monday, we placed all the
charts beside the canteen stalls.
16. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
Second, we came up with posters to
raise awareness on healthy eating and
they were pasted around the school.
17. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
On Tuesday, Adeline from LINS smoodees
came down to teach us how to make
delicious and nutritious vegetable
smoothie.
18. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
One key point is that we should limit
blending to forty seconds so as to
preserve the nutrients in the vegetables.
19. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
We also learnt how to prepare the fruits
before blending it.
20. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
We had fun blending and tasting the
smoothies!
21. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
On Wednesday, we decorated the push
cart and set up the booth.
22. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
George from VSS brought along posters
and games to promote healthy eating.
24. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
Smoothies were left at the booth for the
students to try.
25. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
Natasha also went round to get students
to try the smoothie.
26. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
Initially, most of the students were
reluctant to try as they knew that it
contain vegetables.
27. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
After trying, all of them commented
that it tasted delicious.
28. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
Teachers and students also encouraged
one another to give the smoothie a
try.
29. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
All 300 samples of the vegetable
smoothie were gone by the end of the
recesses.
30. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
At the event, free fruits were also
given out.
31. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
At the end of the recesses, all 750
portions of fruits were gone!
32. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
For once, there were so many
students eating fruits during recess!
33. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
Loving huts sold delicious and healthy
vegetarian food at the event.
34. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
The response was very good and some
of the food items were out of stock
by the second recess.
35. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
Brown rice ice cream was very
popular amongst the students.
36. Feel Imagine,
Feel, Do & Share
Our event managed to draw crowds
away from the rest of the stalls.
37. Feel Imagine, Do &
Feel, Share
As the event was held during fasting
month, only about 60% (816) of
the school participated.
38. Feel Imagine, Do &
Feel, Share
We conducted the survey for all the
Sec 1-3 students who participated
in the event.

of the survey.
42. Feel Imagine, Do &

This is the graphical representation of
the participation rate for the
various items.
43. Feel Imagine, Do &
Feel, Share
From the chart, we can
clearly see the
participation rate is
the highest for eating
fruits, followed by
vegetable smoothie
sampling and brown
rice ice cream.
44. Feel Imagine, Do &
Feel, Share
We also tabulated the number of
items participated by the students.
45. Feel Imagine, Do &

This is graphical representation of the
previous data.
46. Feel Imagine, Do &
Feel, Share
From the chart, we can
clearly see that a total
of 82.5% of the
students participated
in two or more items
of the event.
47. Feel Imagine, Do &

100% of the students
want the event to be
held again next year.

Our reflections:
As a group, we felt that we have learnt and grew
a lot during the project.
Unlike other projects, DFC enables us to use our
creativity. Through the project, we also
understood the importance of teamwork and
resilience.
52. Feel Imagine, Do &
Feel, Share
Our reflections:
We felt happy that many of our schoolmates
enjoyed the event.
We are also very glad that this event will be held
annually.
53. Feel Imagine, Do &
Feel, Share
Our reflections:
Initially we questioned ourselves many times if we
were able to manage the whole event. But at the
end of the day, we kept reminding each other
that the main aim of the project is the spirit of
“I Can!”.
54. Feel Imagine, Do &
Feel, Share
Our reflections:
Now we can proudly say,
“we can, because we believe we can”.
