National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is a constituent board of Quality Council
of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organisations. the board is
structured to cater to much desired needs of the consumers and to set benchmarks for progress of health industry.
The board while being supported by all stakeholders including industry, consumers, government, have full
functional autonomy in its operation.

Answer : Six sigma :
Six Sigma at many organizations simply means a measure of quality that strives for near perfection. Six Sigma is a
disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects (driving toward six standard deviations
between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process – from manufacturing to transactional and
from product to service. The statistical representation of Six Sigma describes quantitatively how a process is
performing.

Total Quality Management / TQM is an integrative philosophy of management for continuously improving the
quality of products and processes. TQM is based on the premise that the quality of products and processes is the
responsibility of everyone involved with the creation or consumption of the products or services which are offered
by an organization, requiring the involvement of management, workforce, suppliers, and customers, to meet or
exceed customer expectations.

currently faced by service providers. According to a McKinsey Corporation report provided to ARAMARK, the
healthcare market is at the vortex of three major forces.
