Margaret G. Grotti (University of Delaware) and I (University of Colorado Denver) presented this as a poster session at the American Library Association's Annual Conference 2012. TPCK framework is currently used to select technologies for teaching in K-12 settings. We have adapted this useful set of tools for use in academic libraries. We hope that our colleagues around the world will find it useful for selecting classroom technologies.

En el Nivel Segundo Medio del Colegio Salesiano de Puerto Montt, los alumnos deben, prepararse para lograr las competencias de entrada requeridas por las distintas especialidades que ofrece el colegio (Contabilidad, Servicios de Turismo, Electricidad, Electrónica, Mecánica y Mecánica Automotriz), desarrollar habilidades de competencias de orden superior y mejorar el logro de aprendizajes de los alumnos, para ello estos diseñan, presentan y ejecutan proyectos a través de los cuales deben satisfacer alguna necesidad o solucionar en parte algún problema detectado en la comunidad o grupo social elegido por los estudiantes. Los alumnos se organizan en equipos de trabajo en marzo para realizar y presentar un estudio de necesidades y problemas sociales en terreno, basándose en estos resultados ellos redactan los “Proyectos Servicios” y su evaluación, utilizando Software de Aplicación General y específica, para ello todos sus trabajos y las evidencias de estos los comparten y discuten, publicándolos en una Plataforma NTIC creada por el profesor basada en la batería de herramientas de comunicación vía Internet que ofrece en forma gratuita Google, las cuales son: Gmail para correo electrónico, Blogger para Blog, Google Grupos para la distribución de archivos y Grupos de Debates, Google Docs para archivos compartidos, Google Sites para páginas web, Google Videos y Youtube, álbumes Picasa Web, Google Talk para chat, entre otras. La evaluación de la experiencia se realiza a través de pautas y rubricas automatizadas en una planilla de cálculo y utilizando cuestionarios online para medir el logro de Aprendizajes Esperados.

Retrieval augmented generation (RAG) is the most popular style of large language model application to emerge from 2023. The most basic style of RAG works by vectorizing your data and injecting it into a vector database like Milvus for retrieval to augment the text output generated by an LLM. This is just the beginning. One of the ways that we can extend RAG, and extend AI, is through multilingual use cases.
