This document discusses introducing Key Emotional Indicators (KEIs) to establish a productive collaboration culture. It proposes that three core KEIs - appreciation, empathy, and integrity - be added to existing key performance indicator (KPI) metrics. An extended set of nine KEIs including solidarity, helpfulness, and reliability is also suggested. Regular measurement of KEIs for collaborative projects and team members could help accelerate digital transformation by fostering qualities like openness, sincerity, and vulnerability among colleagues. The goal is to integrate emotional considerations into business practices and tackle complex problems with a holistic "wholeness approach".

“Do you understand this concept? Does anyone have any questions?” Have you ever asked your class questions like these, received a room full of shy smiles or nods, and moved on only for it to become very obvious that a number of the students had not grasped the basics and further explanation?
While getting your students to pay attention can be a challenge, ensuring they have understood key concepts can be even more difficult. Listening does not equate with understanding, and as teachers, the sooner we can get a real feel for their actual level of understanding, the more we can help them succeed as students.
In these slides, Kimi Anderson will share some simple but effective strategies that teachers can implement to better gauge students’ level of understanding in the classroom. She will share some practical tips using various technology platforms and some useful approaches to group activities.
This document provides tips and strategies for promoting learning and understanding in a virtual classroom setting. It discusses using tools like chat, emoticons, and polling in web conferences to encourage interaction. It also recommends using games, worksheets, activities, and exercises to help learners process and apply the material in an engaging way. Some key tips mentioned include practicing presentations, allowing for long pauses, considering class size, and recording demonstration videos. The overall message is that doing activities helps solidify understanding better than just hearing or seeing material.
