• Zomato is an Indian food delivery startup
restaurant aggregator.
• It primarily provides concrete information,
menus, and user reviews of the restaurants.
• Along with this, Zomato also has food delivery
options from partnered restaurants in the selected
cities.
• The founders of Zomato are Deepinder Goyal
and Pankaj Chaddah. Both are IIT graduates
and were working with Bain & Co in New Delhi
before they came together to launch Zomato.

support system in place. They have a dedicated customer

• In the first quarter of the financial year 2022, which ended on
June 30, 2021, Zomato reported a loss of INR 356 crore
(approximately USD 48 million). However, this was an
improvement from the same period in the previous year, when
Zomato had a loss of INR 617 crore (approximately USD 83
million).
• In July 2021, Zomato went public with an initial public offering
(IPO) and its stock debuted on Indian stock exchanges on July
23, 2021. The IPO was a huge success, with the stock price
more than doubling on the first day of trading. As of February
18, 2023, Zomato's stock is trading at around INR 140
(approximately USD 1.86) per share.
• It's worth noting that Zomato is still a relatively young
company and is investing heavily in growth and expansion.
As a result, it may continue to report losses in the short term,
even as it continues to grow its user base and revenue.
