Zigfreda is a Dutch-Brazilian fashion brand led by Katia Wille and Hans Blankenburgh. Katia has over 15 years of experience in fashion design and management, while Hans has 18 years of experience managing projects for international companies. They launched Zigfreda in Brazil in 2003 and have since expanded to include related lines like BabyZig for babies and Zigfreda Mare for beachwear.

This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.

2. KATIA WILLE + HANS BLANKENBURGH Zigfreda is led by Katia Wille and Hans Blankenburgh. Katia Wille, 39, has a Master Degree in Fashion Management and is graduated in Fashion Design. Katia has more than 15 years experience leading design teams in European Headquarters of international companies such as Nike, Tommy Hilfiger and O'Neill. In Brasil Katia has worked in Grupo Maria Bonita, and Alpargatas S/A . Hans Blankenburgh, 43, has a Master Degree in Knowledge Management and is graduated in both Information Technology and Chemistry. Hans has 18 years experience in managing large projects in international companies such as Akzo Nobel, KLM, General Eletrics and European Space Agency. Since 2002, Hans is also consultant in Fashion related projects and responsible for fashion startups.
3. ZIGFREDA BRAND PROFILE Zigfreda, a Dutch- Brazilian brand believes in boldness and character. The hand drawn prints, created by Katia, is the signature of the line whose clothes err on the side of a classic yet retro feel. While proud of its Brazilian origins; as it's from these roots that they derive so much of their design, Zigfreda's European arm gives its designers the ability to step into the heritage of fashion, culture and historical reference. The result is a mixture of designs and patterns that definitely have its own style - one that at once offers hints of cultural flavor without being recognizably ethno focused. The balance between what they want people to see and the experience of wearing their clothes should be a first step to finding the other 'you' within yourself.
4. BABYZIG BRAND PROFILE BabyZig is the baby couture line of Zigfreda. It was launched in Brazil in 2006 and its SS11 line will be available throughout several baby boutiques in Europe and the Middle East.
5. ZIGFREDA_MARE BRAND PROFILE Zigfreda Mare is the beachwear line of Zigfreda. It is catered for a younger audience, made in Brazil, taylored for the young growing market in the country. The brand will be launch in June 2011 in Brazil during Sao Paulo Fashion Week
