Sometimes we do not put any article before a noun or noun phrase.

The Ali is a boy. 

5. No article is used:
Before expressions of time:
Example:
By night at night by day
After dark before noon before dark
At dawn at sunrise at sunset
For example:
We have to leave home before dark.
They do their homework at night.

6. No article is used:
Before words such as:
School college class
prison camp hospital
when these words are used in their "institutional" sense
Most students start school at the age of five.
