Saud AlmutairiPersonal Essay My name i.docxkenjordan97598
Saud Almutairi
Personal Essay
My name is Saud and I am 23 years old. I was born in a small town, Alomaq on 22 November 1989 in Saudi Arabia. Our family is made up of my father, mother, and a brother. I moved to Canada (Vancouver City) for the purpose of pursuing my studies. From Canada, I moved to the United States of America where I have been staying for the one year. My entire life has had a fair taste of good moments and challenges that I have always used as stepping blocks to my next level in life. Indeed, these challenges formed future reference sources for handling various impediments in my life.
On moving to Canada (Vancouver city) within a period of one a half years, I had already learnt the English language and therefore became bilingual. My experience with other cultures apart from my own Arabic traditional culture was indeed awesome. I met and made several friends from different races and ethnic groups. It has been fascinating to learn how different cultures handle various issues. It was a worthwhile experience to learn and respect religious orientations of different people.
Several but important milestones have happened in my life that has shaped my perception on life. First, maintaining a single status until my current age of 23. This is a decision that I personally made. From my younger years, I knew that for one to progress in life there is a need to make firm if not decisive decisions. My status has allowed me some freedoms that have eliminated some responsibilities in my life and therefore allowed me to focus on educational issues.
Second pursuing a degree in construction engineering has indeed been an incredible achievement. Completing such a course required immense resources in terms of finances, moral, and material support. In this regard, both my friends and parents played an important role in ensuring that my life story becomes a success. Being of Arabic origin, I have to admit that I faced various challenges from the onset with regard to communication and making friends both in college and within the neighborhood. However, being a normal and a quiet person, I was able to attract various friends than I had imagined of. Such a caliber has just made every aspect of my life enjoyable and memorable.
The third and most important milestone in my life has been with regard to my hobbies which majorly underlie reading and playing soccer. Through playing soccer, I participated in the community coaching children’s soccer. While in college, I joined the soccer club and assisted in improving the football standards. My desire to play soccer increased my chances of meeting and making new friends. Essentially, I believe that it is only through playing soccer that I can conduct my physical exercises. Besides, being an engineer, I enjoy reading various articles, journals, and books about new advancements specifically in the field of construction engineerin.
I'm engineering student from India, I have done seminar on the museum of future by collecting information from various official websites. It gives introduction and structural details of museum and also revealed what's inside the museum. And it also gives information about why museum of future is a most beautiful building in the world.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.
The world of search engine optimization (SEO) is buzzing with discussions after Google confirmed that around 2,500 leaked internal documents related to its Search feature are indeed authentic. Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

Preface
.
The word "Ceramic" has originated from the Greek word, "Keramos", which
means pottery. It also relates to an ancient Sanskrit word whose root meaning is
“toburn,” but it is predominantly used to indicate "burnt stuff".
Almost 10,000 years later, with the establishment of settled communities, tiles
were manufactured in Mesopotamia and India. The first instance of functio nal
pottery vessels being used for storing water and food is thought to be around
9,000 or 10,000 BC.
Clay bricks were also made around the same time. The ceramics industry in
India came into existence about a century ago and has matured over time to form
a industrial base. From traditional pottery making, the industry has evolved to
find its place in the market for sophisticated insulators, electronic and electrical
items.
Over the years, the industry has been modernizing through new innovations in
product profile, quality and design to emerge as a modern, world -class industry,
ready to take on global competition. Though there are a number of large
companies in the ceramics sector, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) account
for more than 50 per cent of the total marketing India, offering a wide range of
articles including crockery, art ware, sanitary ware, ceramic tiles, refractory and
stoneware pipes among others. Most of the players are grouped together in
clusters.
Over the last two decades, the technical ceramics segment has recorded an
impressive growth propelled by the demand for high-alumina ceramics, cutting
stools and structural ceramics from the industry. Overall, the Indian ceramics
industry has emerged as a major manufacturer and supplier in the global market

1.1 INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY
Rumors have it that the first clay tiles were produced seven to eight thousand
years ago in the area now known as the Holy Land. Many sources independently
verify that the actual known history of Tiles (and the known usage of wall and
floor tile coverings) can be traced back as far as the fourth millennium BC
(4000 BCtoEgypt.
In those days, in Egypt, tiles were used to decorate various houses. Clay bricks
were dried beneath the sun or baked, and the first glazes were blue in color
andwere made from copper very exquisite!
During that period ceramics were also known to be found in Mesopotamia.
These ceramics bore decorations, which were white and blue striped and later
possessed more varied patterns and colors. Later on, in China too, the great
center of ceramic art, a fine, white stoneware with the earliest Chinese glaze
was produced during the Shang-Yin dynasty (1523-1028 BC).
The usage and the art of making and decorating ceramic tiles had spread and by
900 A.D., decorative tiles had become widely used in Persia, Syria, and Turkey
and across North Africa. As transport and communication developed, tile usage
and its penetration in other territories increased. Wars and territory take -over’s
caused this art to spread even faster.
The Romans introduced tile making in Western Europe as they Countriesof
Northern Europe somehow acquired the technology from Persia, while the Moors
brought African tiles with them when they invaded Iberia (Spain). It was aboard
the ships of Spanish conquistadors that decorative clay tiles found their way to
13. MARWADI UNIVERSITY-RAJKOT 3
the New World, where they were used primarily to decorate the Churches of
newly built missions.
By the end of the 12th century, use and manufacture of Ceramic Tiles had
spread across Italy and Spain and into the rest of Europe. Till that time they
were mainly used
to decorate the floors of Cathedrals and Churches. The skill had eventually
vanished from Europe in the 16th century following the reformation. But the
decorative wall tile art had survived in Turkey and the Middle East and the
Delft tiles art survived in Holland.
A form of tile making had also evolved among the natives of North and South
America at some point. The first decorative tiles to appear in Colonial North
America were imported from Northern Europe, mainly England the Brits having
hijacked the technology from the Dutch. The tiles were t oo expensive for
utilitarian purposes in the Colonies and were found almost exclusively in the
homes of the wealthy.
Through the centuries, tile decoration was improved upon, as were methods of
tile manufacture. For example, during the Islamic period, all methods of tile
decoration were brought to perfection in Persia. Throughout the known world, in
various countries and cities, Ceramic tile production and decoration reached
great heights. The tile mosaics of Spain and Portugal, the floor tiles of
Renaissance Italy, the faiences of Antwerp, the development of tile iconography
in the Netherlands, and the Ceramic tiles of Germany are all prominent
landmarks in the history of Ceramic tile.
14. MARWADI UNIVERSITY-RAJKOT 4
In the early days, the tiles were hand-made, each tile was hand-formed and hand
painted, and thus each was a work of art in its own right. Ceramic tile was used
almost everywhere on walls, floors, ceilings, fireplaces, in murals, and as an
exteriorcladding on buildingsToday Ceramic tile throughout the world is not
hand-made or hand-painted for the most part. Automated manufacturing
techniques are used and the human hand does not enter into the picture until it is
time to install the tile. They are used in an almost infinite number of ways and
you don’t have to consider yourself wealthy to own them. In commercial
buildings, where both beauty and durability are considerations, ceramic tiles
will be found, particularly in lobby areas and restrooms.
In fact most modern houses throughout use Ceramic tiles for their bathrooms
and kitchens and in every vital area of the premise. Ceramic tiles are also the
choice of industry, where walls and floors must resist chemicals. And the Space
Shuttle never leaves Earth without its protective jacket of hi gh-tech, heat
resistant tiles

OVERVIEW OF INDUSTRY
Ceramic Tiles today have become an integral part of home improvement.
It can make a huge difference to the way your interiors and outdoors look
and express. The Indian tile industry, despite an overall slowdown of the
economy continues to grow at a healthy 15% per annum. Investme nts in
the last 5 years have aggregated over Rs. 5000 crores. The overall size of
the Indian ceramic tile industry is approximately Rs 18,000 crore (FY17).
The production during 2017-18 stood at approx. 600 million square meters
The Indian tile industry is divided into organized and unorganized sector.
The organized sector comprises of approximately 14 players. The current
size of the organized sector is about Rs 7,200 Crores. The unorganized
sector accounts for nearly 60% of the total industry bearing tes timony of
the growth potential of this sector.
India ranks in the top 3 list of countries in terms of tile production in the
world. With proper planning and better quality control our exports
(presently insignificant) contribution can significantly
The ceramic tiles industry in India has followed similar trends
internationally which have been characterized by excess capacities and
falling margins. Countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka
and Vietnam are setting up their own plants. China has emerged as a major
competitor. Producers from Spain and Italy have the advantage of lower
transportation costs while exporting to USA and Germany. In India, the
per capita consumption is as low as 0.50 square meters per person
compared to China (2.6 square meters per person), Europe (5 to 6 square
meters per person) or Brazil (3.4 square meters per person). Rising
disposable incomes of the growing middle class and 40 million units of
housing shortage hold out a great potential.

introduction of vitrified and porcelain tiles. These new entrant product
types are said to be the tiles of the future. Internationally these tiles are

THREATS OF NEW ENTRANTS
Zealtop Granito Pvt. Ltd. has a production plant of one it’s a kind. In
which they carry on production of almost all kind of tiles with latest
available machinery, so there is no direct threat to them in terms of new
entrant. In case, if there is any new entrant introduced in the market they
might not be able to make a production as comparable to zealtop ceramics.
Because it requires huge amount of capital as well as working capital to
carry on this level of production plant, along with experience to maintain
it, which is the main problem for initial phase of any industry. Also the
customer base is strong which is having less probability for changing their
supplier.
BARGAINING POWER OF SUPPLIERS
Cost of carrying raw material directly affects the margin of profit and cost
of final product. So cost of raw material must be low as much as possible
for manufacturer to decrease their cost of production and maintain
reasonable profit, which enables them to have a competitive price of
product in market. Zealtop Granito Pvt. Ltd. has a channel of s uppliers
which are reliable and provide raw material as per demand. As they carry
all process in house itself they only require metal in roll and cylinder
form for production, and some supplier totally are dependable on them so
there is no question of bargaining for suppliers, while some supply huge
amount of their total sale to zealtop granito, therefore no situation of
suppliers bargaining arise. Prices of raw materials supplies fluctuate only
when there is overall hike in metal extraction.
• BARGAINING POWER OF BUYERS
Every customer always wants to buy the best offerings from the market at
best economic price possible. This enables any industry to go through
competition owing to various price offerings by various competitors to
50. MARWADI UNIVERSITY-RAJKOT 40
increase sales, which in turn is more beneficial to buyers only. However,
Zealtop Granito Pvt. Ltd. have a substantial customers base of which they
mainly supply for customized designer tiles which don’t raise question for
buyers for bargaining as they get what theydemand at predete rmined
price& quantity..
• THREAT FROM SUBSTITUTE PRODUCT
A substitute of any product has two effects to the product: 1) Either it
benefits by making producers develop & improve their own product
relentlessly in comparison to their substitute producers . The refore a
threat of any substitute product to Zealtop Granito Pvt. Ltd. is not
possible in near future but looking forward to long term future Research &
Development there are possibilities of ceramics or Tiles may be replaced
by nanotechnology which is found to have immense presence in future
technological development.
• RIVALRY AMONGST THE EXISTING
If the rivalry among the existing players in an industry is intense then it
will drive down prices and decrease the overall profitability of the
industry. Zealtop Granito Pvt. Ltd. operates in market place where there
are no direct rivals/competitors except 1 or 2Tiles manufacturer overall
who are having a similar facility for tiles production and servicing, but
some rivals are found supplying tiles raw material and solution but that
are found near Ahemdabad region, which mainly deals in region other than
that of Zealtop Granito Pvt. Ltd.. Although Zealtop is focusing on
untamed tiles market abroad which has a competition to be faced by
worldwide providers.

LEARNINGS FROM INTERNSIP
Being thankful to my University for planning a wonderful program of
Internship I would like to share my experience of 15 days of Internship in
this learning. To begin with I would like to start with the exposure that
one gets through this type of program is immense and valuable; it is like
showing a teaser of what a student is going to face in future in the film of
his life. Classroom concepts are worldly but to apply them one must be
present in the world, i.e. actual market. In classrooms we study theory’s
concepts of economics and commerce for trading market trend and all
which may/may not be abide by one or more assumptions. This is the main
things to learn from SIP that in real world every assumption are turned as
market risk or business risk, one wrong decision based on assumption and
the business has to pay a price for it, or it may sometimes be beneficial.
Learning of corporates work and tips and tricks is the most interesting
part. Corporate sector is all about fulfilling your task understanding the
risk and return and to know how to get work done from others. From top
executives of Zealtop (especially) I learnt how to manage a big firm its
production and human resources with some old methods applying in new
ways in administration and production also. Main thing I learnt was most
of college students are unaware of what they are good at while studying
UG but through SIP they might be not clear/clear about what they are
good at and what they are not at, this also helps to determine whether they
are fit for job in corporates or not is there any field of interest in
Corporate world or they are made up for Entrepreneurship. SIP also helps
to reveal our skills to manage task perform work which might one not be
experiencing until getting their foot into real world but through Internship
they get to know how very well and develop oneself for their lack of skills
in time for development.
