Facebook Dominates Messaging
And your screen time
• The all conquering Facebook owned
applications dominate in the messaging
space, with 73% of Americans having
Messenger installed compared to only
4% for Viber.
• Russians use Viber more that other
countries, and Indians cannot get
enough of WhatsApp.
• Those in Great Britain every Facebook
owned app.

Why Snapchat doesn’t like India
The feeling is mutual
• Remember when Evan Spiegel said he
didn’t care about India, well maybe
because Snap Chat is only installed on
12% of phones and Indians do not
really like Snapchat.
• Compare this to the US, UK and
Australia when Facebook and
Snapchat has amazing penetration.
• Russians, always different and continue
to love VK as their social network.

Uber is in a fight in India
• Uber continues to dominant markets,
except in India where it is facing stiff
competition from Ola.
• Interestingly Uber is big in Australia
where almost 50% penetration has
been achieved in a short time. Creating
a large competitive barrier.

Men love apps, so much that we have a
universal constant. Why? Well we have a
few theories, which one do you think is
correct:
• Men just like to try lots of things and
install everything they see.
• Men are too lazy to remove apps they
don’t use.
• Women install selected apps.
• Women keep their phones tidy and
clean and remove unwanted apps.
