Founded in 1998 by Mr. Rajeev Samant. Sula was named after Samant's mother – 'Sulabha'. Sula’s first harvest – 1999 Today, Nashik is known as the ‘Wine Capital of India’. Opened India's 1st Tasting Room at a winery Now Sula's Master Winemaker - Kerry Damskey. Product’s offered are Wines , Grape seed oil, Grape brandy. The company produces and sells five different types of wine. These include : Red, White, Dessert, Rose, and Sparkling Wines. Each of these wines is packaged differently. Products like : Rasa Shiraz, Dindori Reserve Viognier, Sula Zinfandel Rosé, Sula Brut, Late Harvest Chenin Blanc. The range of all the Wines starts from 250- 300 INR per pint or bottle. There was a problem with the climate as weather was dusty and dry in summer. It was decided that grapes will be grown in winter and harvested by hand in night in the month of March. There is also a problem of unseasonal rainfall. 100% water recycle. Own Water Harvesting Pond with the capacity of 50million liters . In tank hall , there are Sky Lights due to which they started saving 50% of electricity. There are Solar Roof Panels , which saves 18lakh units of electricity . They use a natural method to know the condition of their grapes . They make 100% pure Grapeseed oil from the extracted seeds. Also from the powder of seeds they make biscuits out of it. Rajeev Samant , the founder implemented contract farming model as it proved great success for the prosperity of the farmers. The contract is for 5 years. The farmers were trained by the company's viticulture team and well-educated. Individuals and farmers work on payroll basis. Around 1000 employees and 500-550 farmers. Wages of the farmers , depends on the cultivation of grapes. Schedule timing is from 11am to 11pm.

Sesame (Sesamum indicum L) otherwise known as sesamum or benniseed, is an annual plant which is cultivated for its seeds, grows in pods and one of the oldest cultivated oilseed in the world. Nigeria is the second largest producer of the crop in Africa. Most of the sesame seeds are used for oil extraction and the rest are used for edible purposes. Sesame is grown primarily for its oil-rich seeds. Before seeds were appreciated for their ability to add nutty flavour or garnish foods, they were primarily used for oil and wine. After the extraction of oil, the cake is mostly used for livestock feed or often as manure. Its colour varies from cream-white to charcoal-black but it is mainly white or black. Other colours of some sesame seed varieties include, yellow, red or brown. In Nigeria, the notable colours for sesame seed are white, yellow and black. There are two types of sesame seeds grown in Nigeria; the white coloured seeds grown mostly in Benue, Nassarawa, Taraba and Kogi states of North Central states of Nigeria and the golden brown coloured seeds grown in Kano, Jigawa, Katsina states of far northern states of Nigeria.
